Review: I AM MAKING THIS COMPLAINT ON BEHALF OF MY WIFE [redacted]. A PAIR OF SHOES BROUGHT IN FOR REPAIR ON 8/29/2014, PAID SERVICE FEE OF $** AND WAS TOLD TO COME BACK IN A WEEK.CAME BACK ON 9/5 AND REPAIR WAS INCOMPLETE.TOLD TO COME BACK IN A WEEK. CAME BACK ON 9/12 AND WAS TOLD THEY WERE NOT READY AND TO COME BACK IN A WEEK. CAME BACK IN A WEEK 9/19 AND WAS TOLD SHOES NOT IN THE SHOP AND TO COME BACK IN A WEEK.[redacted] TOLD COUNTER PERSON THAT SHE WAS LEAVING FOR IRELAND ON 9/28 AND THESE WERE THE ONLY WALKING SHOES SHE OWNED. [redacted] WENT BACK TO THE STORE ON FRIDAY 9/26 TO PICK UP THE SHOES AND WAS TOLD (BY OWNER'S WIFE)THEY COULD NOT BE FOUND. [redacted] TOLD OWNER'S WIFE THAT SHE WAS LEAVING FOR IRELAND ON SUNDAY 9/28 AND NEEDED HER SHOES.ON SATURDAY 9/27 THE OWNER'S WIFE CALLED AND TOLD [redacted] THE SHOES COULD NOT BE FOUND. [redacted] TOLD HER THAT SHE HAD TO BUY REPLACEMENT SHOES FOR THE TRIP AND THE SHOP WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE TO PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT SHOES.[redacted] PURCHASED THE REPLACEMENT SHOES FROM SAS SHOES THAT DAY AT A COST OF $[redacted] LEFT FOR TRIP ON 9/28 AND RETURNED 10/8.[redacted] WENT TO THE STORE ON WEDNESDAY 10/15 AND WAS FINALLY GIVEN THE NOW-REPAIRED SHOES. THE OWNER WAS NOT PRESENT TO DISCUSS THE PROBLEM. [redacted] RETURNED ONE WEEK LATER 9/22 AND THE OWNER WAS NOT PRESENT. THE COUNTER PERSON IN BOTH INSTANCES SAID SOMEONE WOULD CALL [redacted]. THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN AND HAS NOT HAPPENED YET. ON 11/7 I (JACK) DELIVERED A DETAILED LETTER DOCUMENTING THE ENTIRE SITUATION AND REQUESTED REIMBURSEMENT OF THE COST OF THE NEW SHOES($[redacted]), COST OF THE REPAIR ($**)AND THE COST OF SIX (6) UNNECESSARY TRIPS TO THE STORE ($**)FOR A TOTAL OF $[redacted]. I GAVE [redacted]'S LETTER TO THE OWNER'S SON "[redacted]" AT 2:15pm ON 11/7. HE GAVE ME HIS FATHER'S PHONE NUMBER OF [redacted] SO I COULD FOLLOWUP IF HE DID NOT CONTACT ME.Desired Settlement: WE HAD NOT HEARD FROM THE OWNER ([redacted])SO I CONTACTED HIM ON 11/28 BY PHONE. HE WAS WELL AWARE OF THE SITUATION AND SAID HE WAS SORRY BUT HE COULD NOT RESOLVE THE SITUATION BY PAYING THE REQUESTED AMOUNT. HE OFFERED CREDIT FOR FUTURE SERVICE AND I SAID NO.WE WOULD LIKE REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE TOTAL COST OF THE REPLACEMENT SHOES ($[redacted].)THIS IS THE LEAST WE THINK IS REASONABLE.
