Doug's Flooring Reviews (4)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have nothing else to say, and no more time to waste with these people because it looks like they have no business to do beside dealing with customers complains instead of fixing the problems. They forgot that they gave me 3 months warranty on "the job" they did. I could sue them if I wanted because "the spray" they had in here did nothing. I already hired a real pest control company last month, and the problem is solved right away I didnt have to wait two or three weeks, and no "confused or dizzy" bugs or ants were found like they were telling me on the phone. I do not wish to receive any more emails from these people, I also no longer want my money back nor their business just to prove to this "company" that I did not want a free service like they said,  as a "respected company" they should have dealt with the problem in a better, and professional way. The customers are their only assets they have. I will let the Revdex.com to make a decision if they want to let such a business to get away with such act, and ripoff the customers, I am not used to this type of businesses here in wisconsin.

In regards to the response to Midwest pest control, all what they stated was false and based on story made up by the owner because:The first time I called the company and after telling them about the problems I had with the insects, and the flies, they explained to me two options, one time service with a 3 months warranty or one year contract. So if I have a problem with ants and beetle why should I say spyders instead of ants? it does not make sense. One week after they sprayed my house I called and complained about the ANTS and someone told me to wait longer because "whatever they sprayed"  takes at least 2 to 3 weeks to kill all the ants he mentioned that the ants should look CONFUSED or DIZZY which based on his assumption it was the first step for termination. I also called the following week and I heard the same story and they assured me that the service under warranty I even complained about the beetle. But when I called the third time they told me the story of the receipt that was written spyders not ants, if that was true why didnt say beetle as well because they treated for beetle too. The bottom line this company lack of experience and does not conduct their business in professional way, they dont know how to terminate insects,  they waited after three times of calling and complains about ants and beetle to tell me that was not cover in the contract where they should say that the first time I called. The problem still exist like before and its getting worse with the ants and the beetle.  I am no longer want to deal with this type of company/people and I will hire another company to take care of the problem. I request a full refund of the payment I made to Midwest Pest Control. Thanks[redacted] H.

What we have here is a case of he said she said.  What we need to go on is the documentation that was signed, sealed and delivered for the service performed on 5-27-15.  I have attached the signed service order that shows we treated for spiders. We have also documented all of the calls that we received from Mr. [redacted] as well as one of his relatives that called with a completely different untrue account of the situation.  When you reference that I told you "to wait longer because "whatever they sprayed"  takes at least 2 to 3 weeks to kill all the ants mentioned that the ants should look CONFUSED or DIZZY which based on his assumption it was the first step for termination". We told you this because the product that we used for spiders kills also other bugs including ants.  Ants are social so once they start getting poisoned, they will communicate to stay away from the treated area.  Therefore because of this we only use 1 specific product that is undetectable to ants.  In this case the product we used can act as a repellent and has a small chance to work if the colony is not established somewhere in the structure.I feel completely confident that this is just an attempt to get more service for free.  We explained that ants need a specific treatment requiting 2 visits and costs more than a spider treatment.  Mr. [redacted] took his own risk by not paying for an ant treatment and wants us to do it properly now that his way didn't work and expects us to do it for free. We are not interested in being bullied into free services to avoid a bad review on the Revdex.com.We are committed to providing great service at a fair price on work that was originally agreed upon.Best Regards,

In Response to Mr. [redacted]’s complaint I will start off by explaining the process we have to determine pricing, procedures and setting up of appointments for customers.  We are very experienced with this kind of scenario and take measures to make sure there are not misunderstandings or false...

expectations. We have call scripts that we follow and the technicians also ask certain questions to ensure the customer is getting the proper treatment.  It is quite common for us to upsell Ant remediation’s (it costs more for Ants so we want to sell them when needed) when a technician gets onsite. When we take a call we ask what pests they are having issues with and where they are seeing them.  Mr. [redacted]’s response was spiders and beetles in his duplex.  We then asked if they are seeing any Ants as it requires a different type of treatment including 2 visits and costs more.  Again Mr. [redacted]’s response was spiders and beetles in his duplex.  I can see now in hindsight that it was because he didn’t want to pay the extra $99. When the technician arrives onsite to a job he does a walk through with the customer and looks for things like Ant and rodent activity as well as asking questions like “do you see ants in the kitchen or bathroom or hear anything in the walls at night?”  The technician did a “broad spectrum” treatment using products that are labeled to control almost all insects including spiders, Beetles and Ants.  These particular products used at Mr. [redacted]’s house are historically the best for spiders and last the longest which is 3 months.  These products are not effective for eliminating established Ant colonies because they are social insects and will avoid the treated area once some worker Ants start showing signs of being poisoned.  These products will prevent Ants from getting established though if used before an Ant infestation takes root in the home. Our technicians are also trained to be very specific on which pests are covered under the warranty which is marked “target pests” on our service invoice.  That way we are protected against folks attempting to manipulate our warranty responsibilities. As Mr [redacted] stated in his complaint he did call 2 weeks later complaining about Ant activity and we had a long detailed conversation about how we document our calls and when he set the appointment, we were told his issues were spiders and beetles in his duplex.  We asked specifically if there were any Ants, due to the fact that the procedure and price was different.  He said no Ants, just Spiders and Beetles.  During this conversation he was not happy to hear this and wanted us to come back out to treat for Ants.  I told him I would offer a complete Ant remediation (requires 2 treatments at $298) for only an additional $99 and at that time we would give him a warranty on Ants.  He said he would think about it and get back to me.  I told him that if he waited a few more weeks the Ants might go away as the products we used acts as a repellant. 3 weeks later I received a call from one of Mr. [redacted]’s relatives regarding us warrantying Ants and he had a completely different story than the documented truth of what was said and promised.  It was very obvious to me that they were trying to manipulate the situation so that we would do a free Ant service.   I told him the exact same thing that I told Mr. [redacted]. That we would do a 2 treatment Ant remediation for only $99. I have attached the service invoice of the service performed that Mr. [redacted] signed. You can see that it  clearly states that the target pest was spiders and not Ants.  We did not conspire to avoid warranty responsibilities as there was no way to know that he would do this.  My question is if he had that impression, why did he sign the invoice? In closing I am requesting that you close the case as we will not be addressing this complaint again and will not offer free warranty service on Ants. Best Regards, [redacted]Presidentwww.midwestpestcontrol.com###-###-####
