Doug's Heating & Air

I highly recommend Doug's Heating & Air. I needed to replace a heat pump. Doug gave me a competitive price, SHOWED UP when he said he would and DID THE JOB when he said he would. The job was first class and we have been very happy with their product and their work. Again, I have no problem in recommending Doug for your heating and air conditioning work.

Review: While on active duty, I had Doug's Heating and Air go to my investment property to service my air conditioning unit. I got the fan coil unit replaced and a new supply of freon coolant for $1600. I was told the unit had been successfully serviced and would be operational. I was in a different state at the time. Less than a week later it was noticed that the air pressure from the vents was really low. I again had the hvac go in and see what was wrong, assuming they would honor their agreement that it should be working for a couple of years more. The hvac told me that the compressor was faulty, even though a few days prior he said everything was good to go. I expected him to give me a fair offer to have that serviced again, all the while assuming he was being trustworthy and honest from the on-set. He told me all of the new freon had leaked out and that I would have to pay another $1600 for that along with the service fee and repair. I told him that I was going to get another guy look at it and for him to put everything back together. When I arrived in town I noticed everything was disconnected. I feel I was being taken advantage of due to me not looking over his shoulder during the repair and being out of town. I am not even sure he initially made the repair in the first place or even used the necessary coolant, probably to make a quick buck b/c the coolant is expensive to buy. My whole experience with Doug's heating and air leads me to believe it is a dishonest and shady company. I disputed the charge on my credit card and the credit card company did their investigation however I did not respond to their mailings and the case was deemed expired. Now it is too late to start up another dispute b/c it is out of the time window.Desired Settlement: Total refund of monies paid and a bad review for the company.
