The customer went to our website and our indoor storage rate table showed the correct charge ($8.50/ft) The service that maintains our website did not change the per foot charge in the text body(left old rate at 7.50/ft)  and that is why he was upset. After I explained it to him he was ok and...

rented the indoor spot from us. So I am a little confused why he put in a Revdex.com complaint.

While I would've found it appropriate to have received a small one-time credit for the difference as a sincere apology for their advertised pricing mistake (instead of being told to deal with it), I was having a pretty bad day with the boat already and perhaps handled this a bit too heavy-handed.
I still don't think this was handled very well, even with it being an honest mistake; it wasn't a typo - it was a failure to update advertised pricing.  I was insulted to be told that my business continued business wasn't worth the $20.  While it's a service that I currently need and trust Doug's to perform that service well, I'm still left feeling disrespected and mislead.  I have no choice but to assume prices listed on a business's direct website are up-to-date and correct unless marked otherwise.  Also, the table the owner is referring to is marked as "Offsite Covered", where I requested the pricing under the section marked "Indoor Storage".  'Indoor' means inside, 'covered' typically means outside but covered; there is a reason I didn't consider the pricing for "offsite covered" since that's not what I requested.
I would consider this matter resolved if: I was granted a $20 credit for the first month to acknowledge the incorrect ad AND for the website's content to be updated  to be more clear (using consistent terminology to describe the services 'Indoor' versus 'Offsite Covered').  I would also like to know if my boat is not being stored indoors as requested.  This really bad experience could've been avoided had anyone along the way said "Oh gosh, sorry about this but our pricing has changed.  We'll get the website updated and give you that pricing for the first month but every month following will be at the new pricing." - instead I was treated like I was trying to scam a local business using a loophole (advertised prices).
My problem isn't with the value/price; it's the advertised price at the time of sale not being honored and the way I was treated.  I desperately want to have a good ongoing relationship with Doug's Boat's, but this is making it difficult.
