I am writing a review about the customer service experience I received from this companyI am actually astonished they have a Revdex.com rating
I was put on hold for minutes before my call was picked upI believe this is not acceptableThe whole encounter lasted 1hour minutes, this is an hour of my time I would not get back

OMG, I've been in H*l* with this outfit since I got the first phone call on December 28, 2015, informing me that they'd bought my mortgage from *** *** I've not had ONE SINGLE POSITIVE exchange with any of the countless 1-clowns I've dealt with--all of whom are with their Collections Dept., telling me my loan's in default and every exchange is being added to their "Foreclosure File"P.s., my money's been going somewhere to "Dovenmuehle Mortgage"--my bank account confirms thisAll of the above reviews are the exact experience I've been having A NIGHTMARE

Dear Ms***
We are in receipt of your email dated May 28, 2014, which included Mr***'s complaint regarding our Loss Mitigation efforts
Our records indicate the borrower was approved for a Loan Modification and we mailed the Loan Modification documents to be signed and return back to us for executionWe mailed them to the mailing address that was listed in our system which reflected the same address as the property address listed aboveOn April 19, 2013, we received a call from the borrower stating that we mailed the Loan Modification documents to the incorrect addressThe borrower stated documents needed to be mailed to *** *** *** ** XXXXXThis information was forwarded to our Loss Mitigation Specialist to have the Loan Modification documents resent to the new addressOur Loss Mitigation Specialist reviewed file to see if the borrower disclosed that he was not occupying the propertyThe documents to be mailed to borrower were placed on hold while the file was being reviewed
Since the loan is a VA loan, our Loss Mitigation Specialist contacted the VA regarding this updated informationThe VA stated they wanted to investigate the situation regarding the current status of the above-referenced loanAfter careful review of the file and the updated information, the VA has denied the Loan Modification since the borrower is not residing in the property nor is he active duty in the militaryBased on VA guidelines, property must be owner occupied and is currently being rentedAs stated by the borrower, they are currently living in *** and based on the information provided to us, the borrower is not looking to move back into the propertyTherefore, this loan does not meet the VA standards for a Loan ModificationOn May 16, 2013, we mailed the borrower the denial letter for their records
On August 20, 2013, we called the borrowers realtor in regarding to a Short SaleIt was determined that the property was not listed and the borrower did not have an offer for a Short SaleWe also informed the realtor that the property is not owner occupied and cannot be reviewed for any retention optionsAs of August 20, 2013, we have had no further communication from the realtor or from the borrower regarding a Short Sale optionThe following documents are needed to review your loan for a Short Sale Workout option:

We have enclosed a Loss Mitigation Package for you to complete and return back to usEnclosed with the package are the Uniform Borrowers Assistance Form and a Homeowner Checklist of financial materials that you will need to provide us so we may evaluate the loan for a Loss Mitigation Workout optionFiles are reviewed in the order they are receivedIt is important that all of the information requested in the Homeowner Checklist be completed and returned to us in a timely mannerIncomplete packages cannot be processed until all of the requested information is receivedWe cannot guarantee your approval into a Loss Mitigation Workout optionWe may contact you in the future if we have questions regarding the file, or if additional information is needed
After reviewing the credit reporting on the above-referenced loan, it has been determined that the credit reporting on the above referenced loan is correctWe are obligated to accurately report the status of the loan to the credit agenciesIt is up to the credit agencies to determine how this information impacts your credit scoreAfter researching this issue, the credit reporting is correct due to the status of the loan of the loan and cannot be removed or changedThe above-referenced loan is currently due for the April 1, payment

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/05/30) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
You state the Loan Modification was sent, when in fact never was
You also state that the VA denied the loan modification, when in fact *** *** from the *** Area VA loan department personally told me they DO NOT have the authority to deny the loanThis is the sole responsibility of the lender
The reason I do not live in the home, and have not since is due to Military Permanent Change of Station orders, those of which are non negotiable termsIt was not by choice to vacate the premises
The home WAS rented, until this situation became unstable after "somebody" denied the loan modification
The realty company who "spoke with" has declined to list the property for short sale since
NO LETTER OF DENIAL HAS EVER BEEN MAILED TO MYSELF BY YOUR COMPANY
The credit correction was in fact mentioned by your company to be done as part of the loan modificationSee attached documentThere was supposed to be a STOP on credit reporting until this was resolved, as stated by YOUR companyThis was NEVER done
I do not wish to pursue ANY Loss Mitigation efforts, as all efforts to this department have been COMPLETE wastes of time
The loan modification was a HUGE failure
A Short Sale is NOT an option, as I have yet to find a real estate agent willing to take on the responsibility of this account in the condition it is in
A deed in lieu is ONLY achievable in the event that a short sale listing has not offers within at least months (see above #2)This was told to me by your loss mitigation department
Repayment is not possibleYour policy for repayment is months with possible month options (of which has been denied to myself early on in the account delinquency process when I requested it as it was the ONLY way to pay the amount owed)
This company has done ABSOLUTELY nothing in regards to reconciliation of this accountI have done everything I can, offered the only money I had at the time to try and repay a portion of what was owed (that being denied by the collections department), the Loss Mitigation Department is nothing more than a political joke to save the company a bad reputationEvery time I called to ask about the Loan Modification when it was being processed, not one person has an accurate note on the account as to where the paperwork wentIt was originally "mailed" to an address I had not been living at for more than year, nor was it the current address on file
The end state of this complaint is that a FORECLOSURE take place and end this madnessThe longer the property sits abandoned, the less money will be recouped in a resale and the more damage done on my credit
This entire situation has been at the fault of the servicing company Dovenmuehle, as I have exhausted every attempt within my power to resolve this over the course of the yearsAll the while, this company has sat on paperwork and done absolutely NOTHING

We acknowledge receipt of your e-mail to us dated August 15, which included the borrower’s complaint
Enclosed is a copy of the letter with attachments we are sending the borrowerWhen this loan transferred to our office in May 2016, there was no insurance policy listedAs such, we began sending notices of a lender placed policy that would be purchased on the borrower’s behalf to protect our mutual interest in the property
After receiving the correct documentation, we contacted the borrower’s insurance carrier to verify their policy information, which proved there was no lapse in coverageTherefore, we stopped lender placed action and no additional premiums were disbursed from the borrower’s account for a forced policy
We are very sorry for the frustration and concern the borrower experienced because of this matter. If there are any further questions, please feel free to contact me at

This company was not even my mortgage company, just someone they hired to do their loss draft work for insurance claimsThey had a horrible process and procedure policyThey never could get their final inspector arranged, and refused to give me the contact information so I could get it doneAfter a Dovenmuehle employee inadvertently used the name of the inspection company I was able to easily contact them and found them very responsive and quick to come out for the final inspection and very timely and professional on getting their report back to Dovenmuehle This was months after I had given Dovenmuehle a hours notice that the roof would be complete the next dayAfter I had finally taken care of having the final inspection done, they then decided a document they previously had approved as finished had one word wrong, and therefore had to be resubmitted and re-notarizeAt best they are incompetent, at worst they bully people and take advantage of their insurance premiums

If you plan not to have any issues, then they're fine Please do not use Dovenmuehle Mortgage *** if you do for the following reasons:
-They will not answer any issues over the phone They will send you a letter that takes over a week to receive that literally states they can't do anything No matter how you contact them, they will send you a letter
-I paid my loan down to 80% and to remove PMI, they required an appraisal Fine, that makes sense They charged $(again, fine) but they hired an appraiser from Elgin to appraise a Chicago property There was an error on his comp and he was using comps from mile away miles is basically another neighborhood anywhere in Chicago I tried to contest it, again, they send me a letter
-I then proceeded to submit a complaint on Revdex.com They were friendly enough in the electronic exchanges but I tried calling *** *** in Research at XXX-XXX-XXXX and left a message Nope, I don't think she existDespite an error in comparable, they still sided with appraiser
-I looked at refinancing with another company and based on PMI quotes, *** has been overcharging me $every month for the past years I called to complain and they told me, yep, fax it over to research I got a letter days later saying they will followup
I'm not sure if they realize that it's 2014, but sending letters is the least efficient form of communication That extra $45/month they've been overcharging me and inaccurate appraisal knocked out any savings from their low interest rate Again, if you don't plan on having any issues, go with them

My loan was sold to this company months agoFrom the start - it has been nothing but hassleI never received anything from Dovenmuehle that they had my loan, and had to call repeatedly to find out what my loan number was and how to make paymentsI then make a payment over the phone and come to find out they applied it to some other random persons loanThen I was overcharged for the last month's paymentI called and they told me they had no record of the payment I made over the phone and after being on hold for minutes - they finally "found it" and applied it to my accountI asked for proof in writing, since I obviously do not trust anything they tell me over the phone and they transferred me to a voicemail system and of course, no call back
I don't ask a lot from a loan company, I just want to make my payment each month with no hassle - and apparently Dovenmuehle can't handle thatI am looking into re-financing just so I do not have to deal with them anymore

I genuinely like to give every business the benefit of the doubt but the loss draft department of Dovenmuehle Mortgage Company is absolutely terribleThey are disorganized and take no accountability for their own shortcomingsThey have terrible customer service and are very unwilling to help when neededInstead of resolving issues they prefer to argue with customers over the telephone
-My house was badly damaged by a hail stormI sent my insurance checks to Dovenmuehle to be endorsedI informed them that my roof needed to be completely replaced and that I had active leaking from my ceiling which was causing further damage so the process needed to be expeditedI called them everyday for two weeks and every time I spoke with someone they had contradicting storiesOne representative told me they received the checks while another told me they "misplaced" the checksOne representative told me they processed the checks and when I called back the next day I was told they were not processedI requested to speak to a supervisor and I was told that she would have the check payment overnighted but they sent it regular mailI'm just really disappointmentA house is one of the most expensive investments a person can makeThe mortgage company should be there to help you especially since they also have a vested interest in the propertyI will be looking for a new mortgage company ASAP

I am extremely frustrated with this company! Dovenmuehle Mortgage purchased my loan in August My previous lender informed me of the change in lenders I NEVER received correspondence from Dovenmuehle! I called on 8/31/so that I could make my first payment and to receive the information on my loan I was guaranteed that if I paid online that day my payment would be processed in time to not miss my September payment They NEVER processed my payment! Today on 9/I received a letter that they received my automatic monthly payment submissionToo bad they can't apply the info I submitted to pay my bill! I have never in over years been late or missed a mortgage payment! This is the worst company with extremely poor customer service! I have read repeatedly reviews of this same experience! Why is this allowed to continue!

This company currently holds my mortgageI am attempting to refinance at a lower rateAll the paperwork including subordination has been completed and approved by DovemuehleHowever, they have refused to send the refinancing company an accurate payoff amountDovenmuehle has admitted that they received the payoff request on November 18,Dovenmuehle has also acknowledged that they have sent the WRONG PAYOFF AMOUNT TIMES!!! At this point no supervisors will return our call, we have been refused the opportunity to speak with someone in the payoff departmentWe have been forced to pay of $in extension fees and the entire refinancing may be in jeopardy due to this company's negligence

This is by far the WORST mortgage company I have ever dealt with in 30+ years of owning properties They purchased our loan August of and we received notice of it and set up the draw to go to their company We have been paying more than the monthly loan amount for years and continued to do so with them (usually - times more each month) In September we began receiving final notices and delinquency letters stating that loan would soon be foreclosed on When we checked online we saw our timely monthly payments made over and above the actual loan amount We immediately requested a pay off letter to pay off loan and rid ourselves of this company Today was the final straw when I received a letter advising me about bankruptcy I immediately called and after waiting for almost an hour finally reached a REAL HUMAN on the other line! He said I was supposed to just ignore all those 'computer generated' letters because it takes approximately months for them to get everything worked out when they purchase and take over new loans WHAT?! That's fine we will get the pay off and send a certified check to never have to deal with this company again My advice; STAY AWAY FROM DOVENMUEHLE MORTGAGE INC If your loan gets bought by them do anything to get with another company!!!!!

My mortgage loan is serviced through Dovenmuehle, not by choice, but apparently the other company got soldI am extremely concerned for this company for many different reasons
The first reason is that I have called the company times - once a week now, for months and have heard a different story about the process to setup auto payments for my loanNone of the employees know the process well enoughI have been told so many different stories that I finally asked to speak to a supervisor last nightShe told me even some more new informationAt times she seemed uncertain herself
What is more unsettling, is that every time I get off the phone with someone, it seems like NOTHING happens to my requestsI end up calling a week later, to find out that nothing had been done or that my request was accidentally closedIt's totally unacceptable when they are dealing with my mortgage
Secondly, I have concerns for the company based on the employees Don't get me wrong, for the most part (with a few exceptions) they have all been extremely nice and "seemingly" willing to get me helpBut after they each tell me a different process or version of what has to happen...and then nothing gets resolved, I am seriously concerned that they have any management or training And if they don't have training or management guidance...then what is the rest of the company based on?
Since I am only dealing with auto-payment issues...I cannot imagine what others go through with larger scale issues with this company Dealing with customer's mortgages is a HUGE deal This company needs to take these experiences very seriously and make some giant changes in order to stay in business

This is the worst customer service we have ever had! I don't know how this company stays in business We are simply trying to access a "goodbye" letter from Dovenmuehle informing our insurance company that they no longer hold our mortgage My husband has called and talked to no less than people on numerous occasions He has spent literally hours on hold We have talked to supervisors who promised they would take care of it Every time we call they have no record of us calling previously and no action has been taken To date after over a month we still don't have a simple letter This company is standing in the way of us accessing insurance money for damage to our home I don't know how to resolve this There must be some recourse

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
Sincerely,
Jeffrey ***
