Dover Auto Sales Reviews (3)

Review: I purchased a vehicle from Dover Auto Sales LLC on March 27,2015. I tried to take the vehicle through inspection on that following Monday and it failed due to emissions. I took the vehicle to Auto Zone and they told me that my car needed a downstream O2 Sensor. I purchased the sensor and let the dealership know that the car didn't pass inspection due to the O2 sensor. They agreed to put the part on. A couple days went by and they didn't call so I called to check the status. They hadn't taken it off yet. I let the owner know that I needed transportation to and from work so the job needed to be done. A couple of days went by and I called again to find out the vehicles status since I wasn't made aware. The owner told me that the O2 sensor I purchased was the wrong part and that he needed to have the correct one ordered. Two more days went by and he still hadn't ordered it so I'm demanding to know what is going on because I missed time from work and as a working mother I need my job. The owner told me that I could come pick the car up and drive it and that it would be fine without the sensor. Not knowing anything mechanical about vehicles I trusted his word and went to the dealership to pick the car up. It sounded loud and he told me that it was due to air going through the exhaust. I pulled out of the dealership and my hood went flying in the air because they forgot to secure my hood so it was damaged. He said he would replace it when I came back that Friday to have the sensor put on. I drove the car 15 mins south down the highway to my house. The next morning let the car run for 20 mins before heading south on the highway and the car broke down. He said that it's my fault and that the O2 sensor would not have caused the car to break down. He said I probably broke a part off and not to mention I asked why wouldn't he just replace my engine since I purchased a 30 day warranty. I called the warranty company and they let me know that my warranty didn't exist. I'm without a car and the $3K I put down.Desired Settlement: I want the owner to drop the $1500 that he wants from me for the vehicle. The Kelly Blue Book Value for the vehicle is less than the $3000 that I spent on the vehicle that I drove for less than a week. He's business is not respectable nor honest and I feel that he should pay for it by taking a loss.

Review: I purchased a vehicle a 2003 Honda accord. I was tricked into believing the car was legit and it turned out to be a salvaged vehicle with a rebuilt title.it took the business a month to get me a title to the vehicle at which point I found out it was rebuilt. the transmission was slipping from the point of purchase. with in the first month the transmission locked up on the highway almost causing me to have a very serious car accident where I went off the road and luckily for a sign that stopped the car.at which point I brought the car back and asked for my money back, the owner said he would not give me my money that I could pick another car. my thought was why would I want another car from this guy. I just want my money back that's all so I can buy a reliable car now I paid 5200.00 dollars cash on my debit card. can you please help me? he has the car in which I had to have towed there. Lucky for me I have triple A.Desired Settlement: I WOULD JUST LIKE MY MONEY BACK.

Review: To whom is my concern : On Aug/13/2015 I bought a 1998 GMC YUKON from Mr [redacted] owner of Dover Auto Sales.I bought the vehicle as is,so when I took the vehicle to DMV for inspection, it fails,I replaced the hole exaust system for $990,00,but when they lifted the car to do the repair,I found a piece of chain and a bolt that is attaching one side of the body of the car to the chasi. That is a dangerous situation because is that chain comes off could happen a bad accident or someone could get hurt.I went to see the owner mr Fi and explain the situation to him and told him that that vehicle to me is no safe to drive it on the streets and that I just wanted my money back,he told me no,he is no going to give me my money back because I bought the suv as is and I told him that the situation with the vehicle is about safety and someone life because driving the vehicle like that we never know what could happens,he offered me a van and a car with 200,000 miles and the service engine light on,I told him that I dont want no more junks I just want to return his vehicle back and get my money. He told me thats not going to happens so I said ok so Im going to file a claim for safety and he told me : do watever you want because you are not getting your money back because when you go to court you are going to loose because you bougth the car as is, and I told him yes but a chain attaching the body of the car to the chasi, thats a safety violation,so before anything happens I am making my complaint to the Revdex.com to be in files just in case. Also after 60 days when I went to get the title of the SUV he gave me another Temp Tag for 60 more days because they had a problem with the title of the vehicle.
