Review: I paid a deposit of 25.00 to hold a rental. I spoke to employee and stated that my son would be there Saturday at 1:00 PM to sign the paperwork to obtain his rental unit. She agreed and wrote his name down. When we showed up at 1:00 PM Saturday the office was closed. Why she didn't inform me about closing time when we spoke on the phone, I don't know. Anyways, we had to obtain another unit at a different location. This was a big inconvenience. Then I called the following Monday and was told my deposit would be refunded within 7 days. Then twelve days later, I phoned once again and was told it would be refunded within 7 days. I politely informed the employee that it has already been twelve days. She said it would be refunded soon. It is now twenty days later and still no refund. Very poor management.Desired Settlement: I would like my 25.00 deposit refunded immediately.

I am in receipt of your notification received on Monday, October 28,2013 ID#[redacted].
Unfortunately I was not made aware of this situation until today and therefore the refund went unnoticed. I have placed a check in the mail for the full amount of $25.00 to the customer today, it was not our intention to not comply with our refund policy, just an unfortunate oversight by a recently inexperience new hire.
The customer reserved the storage unit on line and our web site (www.doverselfstorage.com) does have our hours and directions posted. It clearly states Saturday 9 until noon and closed Sundays, please see enclosed pamphlet. The salesperson would not have stated we would be open at that time since our office closes at noon. I do apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused the customer; we value each and every one of our customers and pride ourselves with excellent customer service.
Also I can assure you that the employee has been made aware of this situation and how important It is to act immediately when situations of refunds are involved as well as any/all customer concerns.
