On May 13, 2016, we removed an old driveway, installed inches of limestone and then let the driveway sit for two weeksOn May 25, we installed a new driveway which consisted of inches of asphalt Upon completion, we checked to be sure that the gate that went across the driveway would clear the drivewayIt did notThough we are an asphalt business, not a fence/gate company, members of my crew spent the next hour adjusting the gate for [redacted] and when we left the job, the gate was shutting and clearing the driveway without any problem After a two month period, [redacted] from our sealer department called [redacted] to see if she would like to have her driveway sealed This is standard practice for all new jobs At that time, [redacted] began complaining about her gate and [redacted] told her to call [redacted] When she called me, she said she wanted $to adjust her gate For the previous two months, we had not heard from her; there were no issues as far as we knewI told her if the fence company needed to move the downrod, I would have my crew go in and repair that area and I would seal her driveway for free; a cost of $ She continued to argue with me, demanding $I once again repeated that I would be happy to repair and seal the driveway at no charge She said she was going to take me to court and I told her end of conversation and hung up I did my best to satisfy her complaint but she continued to be unreasonable I have to wonder why it took her two months to decide that it was an "awful job" We never heard from her until we contacted her regarding the seal work At this time, according to her complaint, there was an issue with "a brick" which I told her I would repair We over grade by foot on each side of the driveway for stability of the asphalt and that was explained in our very first conversation If you need any further information, please feel free to contact me at your convenience [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted] ***

On May 13, 2016, we removed an old driveway, installed 4 inches of limestone and then let the driveway sit for two weeks. On May 25, 2016 we installed a new driveway which consisted of 3 inches of asphalt.  Upon completion, we checked to be sure that the gate that went across the driveway would...

clear the driveway. It did not. Though we are an asphalt business, not a fence/gate company, members of my crew spent the next hour adjusting the gate for [redacted] and when we left the job, the gate was shutting and clearing the driveway without any problem.  After a two month period, [redacted] from our sealer department called [redacted] to see if she would like to have her driveway sealed.  This is standard practice for all new jobs.  At that time, [redacted] began complaining about her gate and [redacted] told her to call [redacted].  When she called me, she said she wanted $300.00 to adjust her gate.  For the previous two months, we had not heard from her; there were no issues as far as we knew. I told her if the fence company needed to move the downrod, I would have my crew go in and repair that area and I would seal her driveway for free; a cost of $100.00.  She continued to argue with me, demanding $300.00. I once again repeated that I would be happy to repair and seal the driveway at no charge.  She said she was going to take me to court and I told her end of conversation and hung up.  I did my best to satisfy her complaint but she continued to be unreasonable.  I have to wonder why it took her two months to decide that it was an "awful job".  We never heard from her until we contacted her regarding the seal work.  At this time, according to her complaint, there was an issue with "a brick" which I told her I would repair.  We over grade by 1 foot on each side of the driveway for stability of the asphalt and that was explained in our very first conversation.  If you need any further information, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.  [redacted]
Sincerely,
 [redacted]
