not fixedPlease understand that the charge was necessary to determine what was causing the ABS actuation in order to recommend the proper repairWiring connections were checked, sensors and brake parts were checked, and our findings were compared to manufacturer specificationsThis was a necessary course of eventsWithout following this procedure there was a strong likelihood of ordering and replacing expensive parts that would not have fixed the problem. At the time we presented you with our findings, you declined to proceed with the recommended repairsWe recommended that the ABS computer on your vehicle be replacedI am concerned about replacing this very expensive ($2060.35) part on a year old vehicleI speculate that you are too. I suggest that the part be replaced with a used partWe have been able to locate one at a price of $Should you decide to follow this recommendation, I offer to replace it with no labor charge. I have consulted a few autorepair garages. They said it is necessary to perform diagonostic work before determining where the problem comes from. But the charge for the check performed on my 2000 [redacted] is crazy because it was far over the ordinary level.
