My security deposit for [redacted] was not entirely funded. Downtown condo alleges that I owed $50 in rent. This is not true. They were paid $14,400 in rent over the course of a 12 month lease, even though I vacated the apartment before the end of the final month.Downtown condo withheld $80 for trash removal. There was no trash left in the apartment, only the furnishings that were in it the day I occupied it on August 1, 2012. Both of these fabrications reveal a company that is deceitful. Additionally, they never made any of the promised improvements to the apartment during the year I leased it.I am owed $120.Desired SettlementA refund of the $120 they owe me.Business' Initial Response Contact Name and Title: Property ManagerContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]'s rental payment each month was $1250. For the month of July a payment of $1200 was made leaving a $50.00 balance. We have spoken since his complaint and he agreed that yes, he does indeed owe the $50.00It is our move policy to compare the current conditions of the condo to the the move in inspection form. The items that remained in the condo were not listed on the move in form (please see attached). Therefore we hired a company to remove the items from the condo. The total invoice for the removal was $80 (Invoice attached. These actions resulted in a total of $120 deducted from [redacted]'s deposit. Consumer's Final Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)After further discussion with [redacted] Downtown Condo has agreed to refund the $80 charged for removal of items due to a misunderstanding that arose from their agent's explanation of the move in list. All items left in the apartment in July 2013 were there when I moved in in August 2012. Assuming the $80 is refunded, I consider this case resolved.
