I am rejecting this response because: To start off I can understand Ray's Trucking Service's position to a certain extent. But after having owned vehicles for over years I have set up certain rules for myself when it comes to having service performed on my vehicles. Number one rule is to never go back to a service shop after bad service has been performed. If a mechanic can't get it right the first time chances are the next time won't be much better. Number two rule is always go to the most qualified shop for the particular repair needed. To put it bluntly Ray's Truck Service isn't the most qualified differential repair shop in Spokane, Washington. The two best service shops for differential repair in Spokane, Washington are shops owned by *** *** and *** ***. Both of these guys are experts at differential repair. The reason being they have decades of experience. I would have had my vehicle's differential work performed at either one of these shops if Ray's Truck Service hadn't went ahead and performed the work on the differential without first calling me on my cell phone, after I had told Rick at Ray's Truck Service to call me with a diagnosis of the suspected worn u-joint problem. I have never taken a vehicle to a service shop and had a company just go ahead and repair a vehicle without first giving me an estimate. That is bad business. A total lack of respect towards their customers. For these reasons I will never go back to Ray's Truck Service in the future. Thank you

All invoices provided to our customers state very clearly in writing our warranty policy (see below)If the customer suspected there was an issue with any of the repairs or services we had performed, he did not contact our shop at any point in time prior to taking it to another shop for diagnostics
and/or repairsWe would have gladly warrantied the issue if it was related to any work or parts we had done or installed if he had contacted us first, however, we were not contacted until AFTER he had taken it to another shopthat was when he then called us demanding a refundIt was explained to him that the policy written on his invoice states that "Parts and labor performed elsewhere voids [his] warranty", therefore, we cannot provide a refund for what purportedly was -- or wasn't done -- at another shopNote also, of the over vehicles we repaired in 2016, we warrantied approximately of those customers for defective parts, or for repairs that needed additional diagnostics, so we do stand by our work and we do happily provide warranties to our customers, provided they return to us for the warranty workWe want our customers to feel they can trust us to take care of them, that's exactly why we warranty our work, however, it must come back to us for those followup diagnostics and/or repair(Please note: This reply states in full our policy, therefore, no further comments will be? provided, thank you).BELOW IS OUR WRITTEN REPAIR AUTHORIZATION AND WARRANTY DECLARATION AS IT APPEARS AT THE BOTTOM OF EVERY CUSTOMER'S INVOICE:By my payment of this invoice, I attest that I authorized the above repair work to be done along with necessary materials and authorized Ray’s Truck Service & RV and it’s employees to operate above vehicle for purposes of testing, inspection, or delivery at my, or my company’s, riskRay’s Truck Service & RV will not be held responsible for loss or damage to vehicle or articles left in case of fire, theft, accident or any other cause beyond their controlParts and labor on this invoice will only be warrantied if labor is performed and parts are installed at Ray’s Truck Service & RV within months or 12,miles, whichever comes firstParts and labor performed elsewhere voids my warrantyA 1.5% per month finance charge will be imposed on all accounts past days
