Dowty Air Conditioning

Installed a faulty new Air conditioner that cost 6000 and have refused to replace it with one that works. The unit cannot keep the house cooler than 80 degrees in the summer when the unit had previously could cool the whole house easily. Their servicemen agree that the unit is no good and needs to be replaced but the manager insists that the unit is testing fine. In addition, when they installed they disconnected electrical for dock to use for hookup and refused to install the necessary electrical to hook up so that I could not use boat lift and AC at the same time. [redacted] system was install may 21, 2015.All required Permits were pulled. The required required load calculation was done to verify sizing of the equipment. The exact load was 31,034 Btus 2.7 tons recommended. since the load exceed the capacity of a 2.5 ton system a 3 ton was installed. Per manusl S whick allows for sizing of heat pumps 25 percent above load. Qe will going out to Mr. [redacted] to check the system operation, subcool/superheat and Delt T supply and return temps. We cannot legally increase the size of his sytem due to NC State restrictions. I will follow up with more infor on his system after we have inspected it. Consumer Response The owner of Dowty AC has finally contacted me and plans to replace the AC unit with another unit next week
