September 19, 2015Revdex.comS County Rd, Ste 100Fort Collins, CO 80528Attn: [redacted] :[email protected] I am in receipt of you letter dated Section 8, regarding complaint [redacted] and take objection to several of the statements contained in said complaint We were never informed that there were any existing corners on the lot It was not until we arrived at the site before we knew that they were there There was no mention that there was only one corner to be located and that it was located in the neighbor’s yard The initial contact was informed that the job would be charged hourly, but there was never an estimate of time required and they would NEVER have been told that the total charge would be $ A field survey requiring site visit with base station calibration could NEVER have been completed for so little I was never rude, but I was defensive as I was being accused of unethical practices I tried to explain the complexities of completing a proper legal survey In the end, the final billing was cut almost in half because we felt that maybe it was our fault to not have gotten more information from the initial contact (Please see attached job breakdown I thought that the bill was more that reasonable based on the fact that cost on a similar field survey is generally in the $rangeThank you for allowing me this opportunity to address this complaint If we do not receive compensation for our services, we can always go to small claims court or file a lienRespectfully submitted;(signed)Richard TDoyleDOYLE SURVEYING, INC

I am rejecting this response because:You did not "cut" our bill by anything "in the end," as you said Your response was the first time I have EVER heard anything about a $fee You were unprofessional and rude It should be the job of the surveying company to KNOW the plot lines prior to coming out here, and not missing one altogether That's akin to a doctor amputating the wrong arm because the patient didn't tell him which one to amputate YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN We will pay your bill, but we will make sure to let all of our colleagues and friends know what happened, and let them decide if they want surveying services marked up percent after the fact, performed poorly, and then to be spoken to with true disdain by the owner.Expect a check in the mail.Special thanks, from a disabled veteran

said complaint.  We were never informed that there were any existing corners on the lot.  It was not until we arrived at the site before we knew that they were there.  There was no mention that there was only one corner to be located and that it was located in the neighbor’s yard.  The initial contact was informed that the job would be charged hourly, but there was never an estimate of time required and they would NEVER have been told that the total charge would be $150.  A field survey requiring site visit with base station calibration could NEVER have been completed for so little.  I was never rude, but I was defensive as I was being accused of unethical practices.  I tried to explain the complexities of completing a proper legal survey.  In the end, the final billing was cut almost in half because we felt that maybe it was our fault to not have gotten more information from the initial contact.  (Please see attached job breakdown.  I thought that the bill was more that reasonable based on the fact that normal cost on a similar field survey is generally in the $500 range. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to address this complaint.  If we do not receive compensation for our services, we can always go to small claims court or file a lienRespectfully submitted;(signed)Richard T.
