I recently had a representative from DP&L Energy come to my houseHe
offered me what appeared like a good deal, lowering my electricity rate so I signed upUnfortunately, just days later I received a flyer in the mail from DP&L Energy at a much better rate Here's my concern, from my perspective, the offer on the flyer must have been known by DP&L Energy personnel on the date they came to our house, given the lead time for printing and mailing out the flyerIt seems disingenuous first that they offered something less in person than what the flyer offers, and second that when we called them, they would not honor the flyer even though it happened only one day past the grace period as a new customerI feel like I was duped by DP&L
Energy during this processAs a retiree on a fixed income, every penny counts! It also brings into question the affliation of DP&L Energy with DP&L and an apparent attempt to manipulate competitionI may be stuck with the higher rate from a purely legal standpoint but from a personal and business ethics standpoint it feels downright deceptive
