This will be the final response on this matterSince the rights of DPW Remodeling were not honored under Minnesota Statue there will be no refund given All “off the shelf” tile has to be brought in from the warehouse since they don’t stock that much I had already ordered it in so it makes sense that you got it in days I have all receipts on when tile was ordered and when it came in There has been at least 5-business days in all cases.In an email dated on the 18th to Power Electric [redacted] admitted to doing work prior with self -hired independent contractors My permit was officially cancelled on the 18th (public knowledge) and yours was issued on the 18th So either work was done illegally on your own or under my GC License Since you took over the job you are held responsible for pulling your own permit and insuring the other is cancelled properlyDPW Remodeling was not reprimanded or penalized at all for the permits issued on this job It is the responsibility of the plumber and electrician to pull their permits and schedule their own inspections Please provide proof of DPW Remodeling being penalized on this job Since there is none this is considered closed

We have tried working with Mrand Mrs*** and did so in a written response through the certified mail that has been picked up finally on the 28th of Sept with no response. Numerous times we were told it was satisfactory and then later was told to rip it up and replace. I have text
messages and emails to provide on this. Since all the tile was special order and that takes a week each time to send and come back the time table took longer than expected. We admit to some poor workmanship however we did try everything in our power to make it right. We explained and it was documented that no work would commence until resolution to the problem was reached. Thumbtack has that on a recorded conversation and in an email. They gave their demands which were unrealistic and agreed were not feasible by any means with Thumbtack resolution team. We responded to fixing the issue however asked for more time to allow tile to come in and they immediately cancelled the work with us after the response. They broke statutory law with the state of Minnesota to allow me days to fix the problem by cancelling and also illegally hired subcontractors under my GC license that was admitted to in an email. The permit that DPW Remodeling was obtained and were done legally through the city of West St Paul. The plumber and the electrician are responsible for their own permits and if they were not pulled or addressed this needs to be addressed with them separately. This can be confirmed with the city of West St Paul. There is a lot of work that was done on this project as well as restocking fees associated with their cancellation well past their days right of rescission including plumbing, electrical, demo, cement board, water proofing, and insulation. This needs to go through the small claims court since illegal action was done costs were incurred well past the amount of the deposit

I am rejecting this response because:
We are not satisfied with DPW Remodeling LLC construction work, nor their customer service and responses. I would ask anyone who is reading this and considering using DPW as a company to ask themselves this: Is this how you would want to or expect to be treated by a company you have paid money to?

We are refunding them their funds as agreed to from previous emails confirming the amount.
