I called DrAppliances, Cape Coral, FL for KitchenAid refrigerator repair Freezer was accumulating ice and frost Frigpart wasn't cooling First serviceman, Tyler, misdiagnosed problem as Evapfan failure Ordered part, installed it on second trip, stated everything OK Frigstill didn't work Second repairman, Brian,said the fan did not fix the issue and diagnosed the problem as the control board and ordered new one On second trip,Brian said the new control board was the wrong one He called boss Eric, then told me my original control board was discontinued and tried to fix the old one by soldering on a new capacitor and that it tested OK It wasn't OK as the freezer ice was getting worse and the frigpart didn't cool at all I made several phone calls to Eric to solve the problem but phone calls were never returned from either Eric or anyone at DrAppliances I paid DrAppliances $for parts and repair that didn't solve the problem A professional repair
