Dr. Shapiro is fully aware of my medical condition and yet when I missed one appointment he refused to see me and said that I owe him the full amount for the missed appointment. Now he refuses to give my medical records to the *** office out of spite. My *** representative called and said that they have sent multiple request and he refuses. I had been a faithful patient of his for well over a year and because of medical issues missed one appointment and he is angry and spiteful. This is not a professional way to deal with this matter.
Hi Emily, sorry it took us a little longer to get back to you. During this crazy time we are trying to get all of our patients their medicines which often require prior authorizations. It has been a full time job for our staff. The records were faxed on March 4,2020. There is no phone number for us to call to verify that they were received. We tried the main number for *** Of *** but no one was willing to confirm. Typically the state sends us a $20 check for the cost of copying and mailing the records a few weeks after they receive the records. We happened to receive that check today and it was for ***'s records. So she should be all set. Please let us know if you need anything else from us.
