Review: I went to this doctor last month for my regular cleaning. I used to go to another doctor at [redacted], CT and I never paid anything for the cleaning (except copay). I gave them all the Insurance information 1 week before my appointment. Two weeks later, I received a bill with due $112.00 (+88.00 paid by insurance) ! seriously? $200.00 just for cleaning ? I called the Insurance to find out why. They are saying this doctor is not in the network ( the listed doctors) so they will not cover the whole amount charged by the doctor (this location is really expensive as well) and they said, it seems like this doctor is charging way too much. otherwise, I would have received the bill with much less amount eventhough the coverage was limited from the insurance for the out of network doctor. Doctor's office should have informed me about the coverage/benefits/expected charges before the treatment. Then, I called the doctors office. They said, they are not in any network. I asked them why didn't you tell me if I am not fully covered. They are saying the nonsense that I am responsible for finding out all the benefits. Especially, the receptionist should take care of these things. Why are these guys are in the business lying/ hiding customer about the coverage even after having the customers insurance information weeks before the treatment ? We have rights to know how much the treatment will cost? We don't expect to have some random bill showing up even after having an insurance plan. Period ! I have filed the complaint with Insurance company for remaining portion of the payment to this doctor. I hope they will cover more. Finally, I strongly recommend checking the list of the dentists on your insurance policy network and avoid this location as are not in any network. Otherwise, you will be slammed by the huge bill from these money hungry people !!
