On 7/18/ [redacted] came in for a oil change serviceA couple of days later the customer came back claiming that we left a bunch of wires out, but did not complain of any burning smellUpon inspection of her vehicle, we found that the wires that she was talking about were wires that had been installed prior to us servicing her car at another location for aftermarket HID headlightsWe let her know what these wires were for and that we did not touch them and would not have needed to move them for an oil change service, but we did zip tie them to secure them in to place for her We also told her that there was evidence of rodent damage to said wiresThe customer claimed that they had not been like that before and had no knowledge of having them put inThe air filter housing was present when she brought back the vehicle for us to inspectAt no time did she mention any fumes or smell

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[There were no "codes" from the beginningThat is a load of liesIf they found codes like they said, why didn't they even tell me about the other code? They only told me about the throttle issue, so I was thinking that was the only problemThey NEVER acknowledged me about another codeAs you can see in the receipt that I signed, it was code, meaning I only signed for the throttleIf there are other things that come up after diagnosing, most shops let the customer aware of it, either giving them a printout of recommended services*** you are lyingBecause not you, not your receptionist, not anyone ever told me about my transmission needing repairHad I known that, I would've got them worked on at the ***e time or somethingBut after the results I got, it was concluded that there was no issue with the throttle, but instead, the transmissionI don't understand why would a customer take their car back to the ***e place they got it repaired when they did NOT do it correctly? I already got my car repaired somewhere else when I got it towed from your shopMy car was in bad condition and not drivableI appreciate you and your staff trying to help out with the transmission, but I just want my money backIf not all, at least halfBecause the work was not done properly and there were issues after only 3-days, not a few months, not a few yearsDAYS AFTER REPAIRYou guys didn't know about the transmission until I brought it in the second timeIt took a few hours for you to figure out after doing another diagnostic on itAfter a few hours you called me to let me know there was a problem with the transmission and asked for $2k saying "900" off because you know you screwed upYou DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION IN THE BEGINNING]
Regards,

We tried coming to some resolve with this customer, but she continues to make claims and doesn't want to hear the facts of events that occurred I have no monetary resolution for her since she decided to not decide to civilly talk this out with the business owner

Hi ***, First you came to my shop with a Check Engine Light We gladly scanned your codes for free and from that we pulled two codes One for your throttle body and one for your transmission Both don't have anything to do with each other. We needed further diagnosis to
pinpoint a remedy to your trouble codes and you agreed We found that your throttle body wasn't working properly and recommended to replace your throttle body You agreed and we finished the repair, test drove your car and cleared your CEL.Now I understand that your check engine light came back on and you called my shop and brought your car back in From the start of your conversation you immediately attack us and said we ripped you off and you wanted a refund I let you know we shouldn't jump to conclusions and understood you were frustrated, but we needed to rescan your car to see what was the problem We offered you a rental car free of charge to give us time to rescan and diagnose your car.Upon re-scanning your car it was the ***e transmission code and recommended a transmission replacement.I understand this is frustrating, but under this circumstance you had two codes pulled from your car that are NOT directly related They did however had similar symptoms as to your concern that you wanted address Both the throttle body malfunction and transmission can cause your car to idle high.I tried and explain this to you and as much as I don't like to have misunderstanding at my shop was willing to discount a transmission install at my cost which was about $off so it would offset the cost of the original repair.Even though I feel the original repair was warranted I still felt for you situation and wanted to help you out I feel you have the impression that the check engine light is a single problem, but in reality it represent and is an indicator of hundreds of moving parts that can have malfunction in your car.If this response helps you understand what I was trying to explain to you over the phone I would be happy to replace your transmission at my shops cost I know when your car breaks down it is frustrating, but we really are here to help and I don't see as eye to eye on the way you told your side, but I am still happy to help.Regards,*** ***General Manager

been installed prior to us servicing her car at another location for aftermarket HID headlights. We let her know what these wires were for and that we did not touch them and would not have needed to move them for an oil change service, but we did zip tie them to secure them in to place for her.  We also told her that there was evidence of rodent damage to said wires. The customer claimed that they had not been like that before and had no knowledge of having them put in. The air filter housing was present when she brought back the vehicle for us to inspect. At no time did she mention any fumes or smell.
