Dear [redacted] :Americare Home Care Services Inc., offer one year home service contracts that provide specific services to our clientsThe PA American Legion endorses our contracts and provides us with the names of their members[redacted] purchased a contract from Americare Home Care Service Inc on September 23, These contracts are for one year only and are completely refundable within the day cancellation period, so that they have enough time to read and fully understand what they purchasedWe also call the member when we receive the contract application to give them the opportunity to ask questions.The contracts can be cancelled at anytime a client chooses by sending in notice that they wish to cancel, and no further payments will be due, however, no refund is made after the cancellation periodMembers are approached by licensed Insurance Agents of Americare who explain the service contracts and their benefits.Sincerely yours,Steve BPresident

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I was not looking for a companion or respite care I specifically said that I wanted someone in to get my husband up, showered, dressed, fed, etc In other words tend to his needs While that was being done I could do any errands that were necessary such as food shopping, the cleaners, the bank, so that when the aide left, I would not have to leave him alone He had just come out of a week in trauma ICU and two weeks in rehab He could do very little for himself I could also not guarantee him that a Medicare nurse or physical therpist would not come during the time the aide was there I am attaching a letter I just sent to Americare Regards, [redacted]

11/4/15To Whom It May Concern:9/28/15: *** *** called and said *** *** was home and she does need helpI stated to her that according to the notes I have in the file she would not be purchasing new contracts because it didn't fit her needsShe said that was correct but she really does need the helpI got the initial information on the days and times she was looking for and set up services under the contract.Americare Home Care Services, did set up and started to provided services, *** *** called after one day and wanted to cancel services which we did.Attached is a copy of a letter sent to **And *** *** for resolution.Sincerely yours:Melissa CNovember 4, 2015Dear *** ***Re: Contract Numbers *** and *** CC; Revdex.comAmericare is sorry to hear that our contract is “inadequate” for you and does not meet your needsWe however stand behind our contract and will provide the services that are offered in the contractAt your request we did established services for *** *** which you later cancelled, 10/1/15, after just one day.Although no refund is due or payable, Americare will refund the last months of both contractsEnclosed please find a check for those refunded months.Sincerely,Melissa CVP

10/27/15To Whom It May Concern:Americare sells home service contracts that provide specific services to individuals in their homeThe services we provide and don't provide are listed clearly in the contract on page A complete copy of the contract is left with the client the day of
purchase.Clients have an obligation to review what they are purchasingThey are given a day cancellation period to read and fully understand the contract and to ask additional questions they may have about the contractIf the contract is not what they wanted they may cancel and receive a full refund during this timeThe day cancellation period has passed and no refund is due or payable at this time.Americare called the ***’s on 11/20/to welcome them to Americare and answer any questions they may have.When the ***'s called for care, they were looking for respite services only so *** could get outThe contract clearly states that the contract does not provide companion or respite servicesAmericare was willing to provide the services under the contract to the ***'s and set up care but *** cancelled those services after one day because they were not what she wanted.Sincerely Yours, Melissa C.
