Dr. Cheryl L Sorbero D.D.S.,P.C Reviews (4)

Dr. Sorbero treats her employees very wrong. The practice manager Tracy Waldren has yelled at one employee on several occasions while I was there. Tracy does not know how to deal with people! She has also sent home someone because they mentioned that they might be moving to Florida. In my opinion the whole place is a wack. They go through employees faster than a kid goes through food. Please if you are considering using her as a business I would strongly encourage you to look somewhere else.

On three occasions I showed up to my appointment, with my appointment card filled out by her staff and was told I did not have an appointment. The office manager Tracy told me that my payments for invisalign were incomplete, when I knew they were paid in whole, so I then had to bring in all my credit card statements to prove I was right. I called to change an appointment and started the conversation, "Hello I need to change an appointment" and the girl on the phone said, "I don't even know who you are", to that I said my name and she literally said, "are you the girl that wears the jacket that zips all the way up". Stay away from this place.

I made the mistake of coming to Dr. Sorbero after she took over my previous orthodontist's practice. I came for invisalign. After 2 years and no results, she said they looked great and we were done. I tried coaxing her into seeing it from my perspective and she took offense. She begrudgingly agreed to give me bracket braces. My teeth are very sensitive and when she removed the bonding material from the invisalign I was very uncomfortable, to this she took offense. I was then made to sit and wait for over an hour until she came back to me. She then had her staff make me a retainer, which I questioned why I would need one if she was going to give me braces my next visit. I was ignored. My next visit she demanded I pay for the retainer I would need after the braces because she had already made me one. I had to scratch my head because there was no need to make the first one. I should have walked away at that point, but I did not. I paid for the retainer and I had the braces for a duration of 4 months, within this time I would tread on water when she would say they were ready to come off when I could clearly see spaces and crookedness in my teeth caused by adjustments. I finally realized that it would be best to have them off when they were "good enough" in order to finally leave her care. The day I went to get them off they asked for payment of the retainer. I had to very slowly explain to the office staff that I had already paid for it. Not enough can be said about the incompetence of her office staff. On three occasions I showed up to my appointment, with my appointment card filled out by her staff in hand, and they told me I did not have an appointment. Office manager "Tracy" insisted I did not complete my invisalign payments, I had to provide all my credit card statements to prove that I did. "Tracy" also like to think she is a doctor, and likes to tell you that "your retainer isn't ready because I didn't like the way it looked". The last time I called to change an appointment, I started the phone call with " I am calling to change an appointment" and the front desk woman literally said, "I don't even know who you are", after which I said my name and she replied, "do you wear the jacket that zips all the way up?". Stay away from this place, it is a joke.

I have received orthodontic care for over 5 years with 2-3 of those years from Dr. Sorbero after she took over the existing practice. Within the 2-3 years I saw her, I was rescheduled constantly and always at the last minute, pushing my progress back farther and farther. Not to mention every time I came in for an appointment there was minimal progress with my teeth. They are worse now then when I originally got my braces on. As a result of constantly getting rescheduled, going into my fifth year with braces, and my decision to transfer to a University that is too far away to receive adequate orthodontic care, I elected to get the braces off. Dr. Sorbero took offense to this and when I came in for an appointment under the impression I was getting the braces off, she became very temperamental with a strong attitude toward me. I apologized for the misunderstanding while she and her technicians labeled me as "verbally abusive." To top it all off, now that I have my braces off, I was given a retainer to wear at all times. Since I no longer have braces I wanted to give a copy of my records to my dentist, which I did. I went in to see Dr. Sorbero for an appointment today (7/24/12) and after I sat there for over a half hour they told me they would no longer see me since I sent a copy of my records to another practice. Dr. Sorbero is the most unprofessional person I have ever met in my life and I would not recommend her to anyone that actually cares about themselves or their children having exceptional dental care.
