My wife had some tests done which were rejected by the insurance company Now we were left with a $3k bill at the medical facility (Insight Medical Genetics), however I've never actually seen the billThe facility called last week telling me the details but said I qualified for some discounts bringing the bill to $They emailed a breakdown but the disclaimer was that the discount was for 'quick pay' meaning that if I don't pay in days then I pay the full amount
I explained to their billing department that I've never seen a bill so how is it that they are practically forcing me to pay $now otherwise I'm stuck paying the full $3k billI pay the $and they agree to mail me the bill and receipt
The other day in the mail I get the receipt and acknowledgement of the discount but still no bill I've never heard of a facility forcing customers to pay an un-itemized bill, this seems to be a fraudulent practice In addition in the acknowledgement of the discount they

NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS SERVICE!!! Like the previous reviewer the same thing happened to meTo make matters worse I have 12+ years as a billing managerI checked my policy prior to my consult, it said genetic testing was NOT coveredI explained that during my consultation, they said no worries most I would have out of pocket is a few hundred dollars and "free" PGS testing if we end up needed a round of IVFI asked what the charges were in general and they would not disclose, even when I called yesterday the representative admitted that they do not disclose their chargesWell my insurance paid these people $29,414.69!!!!!!!!! It got covered under my infertility benefit vslets say a unrelated genetic testThis also they took 100% of my LIFETIME MAX!!!! I tried calling them and explaining this, now my husband and I don't even have a CHANCE to have a child thanks to INSIGHT AND THEIR EXORBITANT PRICES!! I could practically hear the reps shrug of the shoulder say well we don't verify insurance, and that doesn't even cover our cost!!! 30K DOESN'T COVER YOUR COST!!! THEN HOW THE HELL YOU GET OFF ONLY CHARGING PEOPLE A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS WHEN THEIR INSURANCE DOESN'T PAYShe offered for me to speak to the billing manager but said that they would say the same thingBefore anyone may think I had "extra" services or tests runTHIS WAS OPTIONAL FOR MEI have known family defect or genetic abnormalities that would have made this necessary, no on going miscarriage nothingThey results they emailed me confirmed thisNow after knowing 30K was paid I feel like they should of shown up in a *** and had someone go over each line item for me...PLEASE as an informed consumer think twice about this place!!
