Dr. Denim Reviews (1)

Review: On August 16 , 2013, I went into Dr. Denim in [redacted], GA. to ask them did they sale me a mismatch pair of polo shoes. The sales associate informed me that they had been looking for the shoes and she agreed that they had sold me a pair of mismatch shoes. The day I made that purchase on the polo shoes I had spent $400.00. The sales associate switched out the shoes for me and apologize. As I was checking out the store to purchase more shoes, I decided to inquire about the Gucci Glasses they had on display that matched my Gucci purse I was carrying. I asked the sales associate to let me see the glasses, me and my boyfriend was debating should I buy them and then I decided to purchase the Gucci glasses. When I told the sales associate that I wanted to purchase the glasses she informed me of the return policy and then I asked her where was the case and authencity papers she informed me that they kept that in the back of the store. She proceeded to check me out and I made a $407.00 transaction on my debit card to purchase the glasses. Once I purchase the glasses the sales associate told me to hold on while she went and got my case and authencity papers. When the clerk returned to the front of the store she informed me that they were not back there. She proceeded to call the store manager and looked for them once again. She then informed me that I still could not return them I would have to wait for the store manager to order me another case. I then was unsatisfied with my purchase but still patient and professional and told the clerk that I did not want to walk around with expensive glasses inside of a bag with the chance of getting them scratched up and that she should have informed me or made sure my case was in the back of the store before she sold them to me. She then got my phone number and told me she would call me as soon as the store manager order me another case give her a week. Three weeks later I still have no case nor refund and the store manager told me that the case was shipped to the wrong store then she took her personal pink case out her purse (which was not Gucci) and told me to put my glasses in there until my case came. She also offered me a store credit but I declined because I did not want a store credit, Dr. Denim does not sell women merchandise other than glasses and I preferred a refund. She told me their store does not work like that. Week four, I received a call from the sales associate whom then informed me that my case was in (September 5,2013). I went to the store it was the wrong case and it was too small for my glasses. She then called the warehouse/corporate office in Philadelphia, PA., and spoke with [redacted], she informed her that the case did not fit my glasses and I was in the store and what did she need to do. I was listening to the call, [redacted] said, "That was not her problem" she suggested that the sales associate take the matter up with the store manager. I feel like I was ripped off, ran around, and was treated as a consumer unfairly. I also think if the sales associate did not follow the procedure to sale me an expensive item with all the appropriate accessories I should not have to keep them and be refused a full refund, which I asked for immediately when she informed me that they did not have the paperwork to the glasses nor the case. I asked [redacted] when I spoke to her an hour later when I called to let me speak to someone higher than her or in corporate, that could help me resolve this issue she told me she was corporate. She refuse to give me my consumer rights to be heard. I also feel like Dr. Denim and their sales associate failed to give me the right to be informed. Lastly, I feel like that if the store manager was on top of her inventory then they would have knew that their case to a pair of expensive Gucci glasses was missing, (which I believe Gucci would never sale glasses without the case and authencity papers) and I then could have had the right to choose whether I wanted to purchase the glasses with or without the case. I was not informed and I feel like now I have been forced to make a purchase when it is negligence on the company's behalf. I hope that Dr. Denim realize that they are violating the consumer protection laws.Desired Settlement: I hope that Dr. Denim realize that this is violating my consumer rights and take full responsibility of the actions of their sales associate. Instead of wanting me to wait till they get another case in that they are guessing fit my glasses and does not match and make me continue to wait, they give me a full refund from my purchase. I accept cash, check, or the money reversed on my debit transaction not store credit. I do understand their "no refund" policy but there is also a policy they have when they sale a merchandise to a customer that they failed to do.
