Dr. Eric J. Weiczorek

Review: I scheduled an appointment (as a NEW patient) with Dr. Weiczorek's office. I made the appointment in Oct. 2013 but they couldn't get me in until January 28th 2014. ALL the secretary told me to do when I called to schedule the appointment, was to get my health record sent from my current physician. About two week prior to my scheduled appointment with Dr. Weiczorek, I started having health issues (inflamation of my joints, rash, fever, weight loss etc.) and had to make an appointment to see my regular physician for treatment. My physician was running blood tests to rule out lupus, trigeminal neuralgia, TMJ etc. Because I had to get this issue taken care of and because I was really sick, I couldn't have my records transferred (because I had to be under the care of a physician) and was not able to keep my appointment with Dr. Weiczorek. A month later I received a bill for $175 for a no show. I was NEVER made aware of their no show policy by anyone at their office verbally or in writing at the time I made the appointment. If a physician's office has such a policy, shouldn't they be made to disclose the policy to new patients if that is indeed the office policy? I had to sign a disclosure with this policy at my current doctor's office and my daughters pediatrician. I would have no problem paying for this, but I was never told that the policy existed AND I wasn't putting my health issue on hold until my records transferred.Desired Settlement: I want the $175 charge to be dismissed because they did not disclose the office's no-show policy to me at the time I made the appointment as a NEW patient.
