Dr. Ernesto Lee Reviews (3)

To Whom it May Concern,This letter is in response to the complaint filed against DrErnesto Lee by *** *** ***The patient *** *** first came to our office on October 14th, Her and her husband arrived for a new patient consult regarding her jaw problem which when scheduling they
were advised that there would be a $Consolation feeOn that first visit they brought with them multiply CBCT scan along with two large Tupperware containers filled with models and appliance from the many other doctors she had seen in the pastHer husband asked if he could leave them with us and have DrLee go over them he also arrived another day with more for him to look at which DrLee did that alone took over hours to doThey were also told at this appointment that the TMJ appliance would cost $3000.One there next visit November 24th they arrived for their appointment which was for impression for the appliance, this appointment was one and a half hour long. The appointment included impression, bite registration and face bow transfer They were charged $which was half of the SSoon after that appointment they had called to speak with DrLee which he did he spent over one hour talking to them and answering there questions and concerns over his lunch break. The next few weeks they had called and were heisted about the appliance once they were sure that they wanted to go through with it DrLee had them come in to take another bite registration at no time were they told they were just coming in for a quick checkAfter this visit the patient said her jaw was so uncomfortableA few days later they called and said they did not want to proceed with the appliance. The reason they had a zero balance is because we have two different codes one code is for $Due at the time that the impressions were taken and another code for $1500, for delivery of appliance which is not on their bill since they never received the appliance. The patient tried to have the credit card reverse the charges however after they received our response they came to the conclusion that we did provide the service and did deserve the money. The patient was also told that she could have all her impressions which they declinedShe was informed that we would not be refunding money backTreatment was performed on this patient she was told up front that the TMJ appliance would cost $3000, $1500.due at the time of impressions and another $When the TMJ appliance was delivered.DrLee along with his private practice here in Bryn Mawr also lectures worldwide he has co-authored many books on this subjectHe is Director of the Periodontal/Prosthesis program at the University of Pennsylvania and Clinical Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental MedicineHe is one the top in his field he certainly does not need to rip people off but fair is fair his time is valuable and he feels that Service was provide and the fee is justifiable.Sincerely,DrErnesto Lee

I am rejecting this response because:  my first visit with the doctor was aconsultation for which I paid him $200. I asked repeatedly for atreatment Plan and although was promised one I was NEVER given one.  My second visit was for the prepararion to make an Appliance of the type we agreed to.  At this visit I paid him $1500. in advance in full for the Appliance.  Tjere was NEVER any mention of additional charges. The documents clearly show that the payment was made in full and in advance for the Appliance and with a zero balance on my invoice and my account statement.  I asked again for a Treatment Plan but was never given one.  Rather than deliver the Appliance we had agreed to for which I paid in full and in advance, the doctor reqeusted a third visit to change his approach and the type of Appliance.  When I tried to explain to the doctor that type of appliance had caused me pain in the past he refused to listen to me, so I cancelled before an Appliance was made, and politley requested a refund, and offered to pay him for his time with a reasonable payment as I did the first visit. The doctor's responses to my refund request have been inconsistent, filled with false statements, phantom bills, and irrelevant pre treatment form  that has no bearing on my refund request for an Appliance I paid for but cancelled when the doctor changed what we had previously agreed to.My refund request is based on clear accurate facts and documents I have presented. It's a legitimate request and a very reasonable compromise.Regards,
