Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[redacted] still has not agreed to refund me in full...  If I was quoted $50 for an eye exam then that should be it!  He's charging me more now because of something that wasn't my fault.  The labs he chooses to work with sent me defective lenses THREE TIMES!  I chose to give the glasses back not because I didn't like them, but because I was frustrated after waiting so long and getting nothing but defect after defect.  After the third time being defective I gave up.  No one should have to wait over 3 MONTHS for a pair of glasses.  Plus, I wasted so many trips back and forth to Goshen for nothing.  [redacted] states I would've paid $625 for everything somewhere else which is false.  I've been wearing glasses for over 30 years and NEVER paid that much anywhere (that's including designer, name brand frames).  Also, I'm not sure why [redacted] is stating the glasses were "used".  Every time I went to pick them up there was something wrong with them so I left them to be fixed again.  The frames were never even worn!  So if he chose to send them back stating they've been "used" instead of putting them back on his board then that's on him.  I truly don't care if this is his only complaint he's ever had...  I am still being treated unfairly.  Again, I should not be penalized because of something I didn't do or couldn't control.  The labs he's working with send out poor quality, so if he wants to take it out on anyone he should talk to them.  I'm still waiting for my additional $80 refund! Sincerely,
[redacted]

[redacted] was seen in our office on 2/**/2015. Her prior visits were 3/*/2012 and 9/*/2010. She paid $65 for an eye exam on her first visit...

which was 5 years ago and prices have increased in the last 5 years so yes the exam fee is higher. Sometimes a discount is given when patients purchase eyeglasses and contact lenses. [redacted] had a comprehensive eye exam, new ed hardy frame, hyper index single vision lenses with rolled and polished lenses with anti reflective coating and scratch coat. If a discount was not given [redacted] total price would have been $625. She was charged $400. We tried to do the right thing but long story short she did not like the frames which had to be sent to the their company after they were used and we are charged a restocking fee. Its not my restocking fee. I dont put the used frame back on the board to be re used. So take the usual $625 which was marked down to $400 and then minus the exam fee of $90 which brings down th e amount to $310 minus the additional fees which included the restocking fee for a total of $270 which was more than fare. Please feel free to check your records and you will find that this is probably the only complaint you have on record for the 20 plus years we have been in business. thank you.

Review: I've been a patient of [redacted]'s for about 6 yrs and was always happy with the service there. However, my last experience I was not. I had an exam & picked out a pair of glasses he had in his office back in February 2015, $350 glasses + lenses, $50 exam. When they came in a couple wks later in March the lenses were not correct so [redacted] sent them back to be corrected. When I went to pick them up a couple wks later, [redacted] was not in (his secretary was) and I found a defect in one the lenses & was also not happy with the frames which seemed flimsy. I took them home & went back the following week with the glasses & to speak to [redacted]. I explained that I wasn't happy & wanted a refund. His response was that he was using a new lab, the first lab that made the error went out of business, therefore this lab will not refund the lenses without having a chance to fix them. So I agreed to give them back to be fixed again. [redacted] also said he would order a new frame so we can start over completely in hopes that the glasses would feel more sturdy. It was now mid May when his secretary called to let me know the lenses were in & asked if I wanted them to order the new frame. I was baffled because [redacted] had already said he was doing that. My response was "yes" & I had to wait again! I waited another 3-4 wks & hadn't heard anything so I called. I was told the frame was on backorder. They came in about a wk later. When I picked them up for the third time (3 mos later in total), there was another defect in the lense which caused light to be blurry. I told [redacted] I didn't want them & to send them back to the lab to get my money back. I walked out frustrated. I left msgs for 4 days with no return call. On the 5th day his secretary told me she would mail me a refund check of $270, not the $350 I originally paid. He charged me an additional $40 for my exam which was never more than $60 in the past & a $40 restocking fee for the frames which go right back up on the wall in the office!Desired Settlement: I want the $80 still owed to me, a full refund for the glasses! I should not have to pay more for my exam after the fact. I've had exams there in the past without buying glasses & only paid $50-$60 each time. Plus there is no "restocking"! I picked the frames from a selection in his office. I shouldn't be charged for them to simply be put right back up on the wall! No refund policy is in place for customers to view & making up rules as you go is not good policy for any business!
