misrepresent our products (as evidenced by the fact that we emailed you a copy of the guide’s Table of Contents on 3/11/17 so that you could get an overview of what we covered before you purchased), and we’re very sorry for the stress and frustration we have certainly caused you. In your first of two post-order emails to us (4/14/17), you specifically mentioned five aspects of our guide about which you were dissatisfied. You made some valid points in that email, and we’d like to take the opportunity to address them here.1) Regarding your comment about how we’re missing explanations for “both the long and short performance tasks”: It is precisely because the NYSTCE website freely provides the most direct and complete information available on this that we do not attempt to paraphrase it by explaining both the long and short performance tasks. Since test takers should be familiar with the NYSTCE website from having to sign up for their exams, and since we can't reproduce the exact information because of copyright issues, we opted not to include it. Because of your feedback, however, we are currently working to include a direct link within our guide to the official scoring information.2) Regarding your comment about how we only have “2 examples of each”: Our guide includes a full length practice test for the exam. Because of the format of one of the extended response questions (evaluation of a video recording), we do not have a representative question for it. We instead have an additional example of the other type of extended response question from that section of the exam. We are currently working to include a note to this effect at the location in the practice test where the video evaluation question would appear on the real exam in order to help those using this guide be better informed and prepared.3) Regarding your comment about how we don’t mention the observation part of the exam: We apologize for this omission. As mentioned above, we are currently working to include a note indicating that we have chosen to omit this portion of the test since the format of our product does not permit us to provide a sufficiently helpful representation of this question. Rather than produce an ultimately unhelpful question just so we can say we cover it, we have opted to instead provide additional practice for a related question.4) Regarding your comment about how we devote “104 pages to theory and zero to the observation”: Thank you for this feedback - we will review our content inclusion and determine whether we need to make revisions to it.
