Review: I started treatment with Dr. [redacted] in April of 2013. I requested Essix, clear aligners, which are suppose to be similar to Invisalign aligners which I had worn previously. (My Invisalign retainer broke so my teeth became crooked again.) Dr. [redacted] assured me that the Essix aligners were very similar and could be worn without being too visible. I paid him $2600 up front for treatment. The aligners arrived and were Far from invisible. They were not fitted to my teeth and had a huge bubble over my crooked tooth. They were nothing like the Invisalign aligners that I wore years prior. I decided to continue with treatment because Dr. [redacted] told me I could wear then after work and throughout the night and still receive the same outcome. I wore them for a few months and didn't see any change so Dr. [redacted] recommended a new type of aligner. It arrived and was metal and uncomfortable. I did as instructed and wore it after work and while I slept. I informed Dr. [redacted] in October that I would be moving to Chicago in January and was nervous that my treatment would not be complete. He assured me that it would. He said it was a gradual process and told me to just keep wearing the aligner. Many months later my teeth are still crooked and I am $2600 poorer. I have emailed Dr. [redacted] on multiple occasions and he finally agreed to look at my payment records to determine a partial refund so I can put that money toward treatment in Chicago. He has however ignored my emails ever since our last conversation on 4/15/2014. He took $2600 from me and did not provide the service that was promised.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed at least 50% of what I paid. I would prefer more but would be happy with $1300.
