Dr. Howard Futterman

Review: Dr. Futterman's office has scheduled me for a "bogus" appointment on December *, 2013 at 4:15pm, which I learned of via their automated scheduling reminder system. I called their office on December [redacted] in the morning, more that 24 hours in advance to cancel an appointment I never made. On January *, 2014 I received a bill for $50.00 for not keeping the "bogus" appointment and not canceling within their required 24 hours. The secretary is rude,frequenlty hangs up the phone, states she makes no mistakes and refuses to have the doctor call me back, or revert the charges. She did offer to revert charges only if a made another appointment despite me informing them I do not need or want to, and most importantly I never made the appointment.Desired Settlement: I want them to revert the charges.

This patient had made the appointment in question in person at her last office visit on 10/**/13. The visit scheduled on 12/*/13 is consistent with her medical records. She received a blue reminder card at that time, and an automated phone confirmation on 11/**/13.

She could not have called the office on 12/*/13 as claimed, as this was a Sunday and the office was closed. She must have called the office on the day of her appointment, 12/*/13, to cancel with the secretary, who does not have the authority to independently revert charges, and no such offer was made.
