Dr [redacted] does not return phone calls, and his Office mangement employees are not willing to submit clais properly and expect their clients to handle the matters His office staff do not know how to correctly submit the proper formatted codes for reimbursement even after speaking with a NC Blue Cross Blue Shield Representative out of Durham, NC The paper work changes each month One month states a balance, but two bills later the balance shows $and brings back the original amount paid at the time of service (We have records) and the attorney out of the firm we work with will proceed directly with Dr [redacted] Also, of the cavities that were filled popped out and had to be re-filled (However, we went to a different dentist who corrected the fillings I was able to talk with the office manager, but Dr [redacted] obviously does not care to concern himself with anything but collections (However, this time, he will have to answer)

Company agreed to file claim via fax or mail without SSN. They have not done that and then turned over to collection group without speaking to me. Date of service was 9/18/2015. Account number XXXXXXX. Payment method was covered by insurance and would be submitted via fax or mail of claim form. This is in regards to issue with Dr [redacted] & Assoc. DentalWorks in Wake Forest NC.I needed a second opinion on deep cleaning and called this DentalWorks location. I explained that I had an issue with giving them my SSN due to several recent compromises to include the OPM (Office of Personnel Management) of which I was a vetted contractor. They were fine with this arrangement and agreed to file the billing expense via mail or fax that I provided them. They repeatedly stated they filed the claim and it was rejected each time because they needed the SSN.I called Met Life on several occasions to verify the procedure and they confirmed that the process was correct. We last spoke in December 2015 and they were resubmitting the claim. The next time I heard from them they had turned over my $76 Exam bill to a collector.I have outstanding credit and principles. I refuse to give my SSN to anyone to asked without just cause. In these times, I can't imagine who wants to.I am in the the process of filing the claim myself. I didn't even know I had that option until Met Life suggested it.Desired SettlementI expect them to file the claim via one of the two processes they agreed to, mail or fax.Business Response I am sorry, this is the first I have seen of this concern. From reviewing patients record, the claim was filed and paid. I do apologize for the delay in response. Thank you.Consumer Response Yes, the claim was filed by me and I verified that it was paid. The point is that Dr. Humble & Associates, PA was supposed to file it and claimed they could not on several occasions. They gave up and tried to bill me, I responded with how they needed to do it. Instead of filing correctly they submitted the bill to a debt collector against me. Stating that I was not paying my bill. This is not only unprofessional but jeopardized my credit rating. If this is the first they've heard of this, thats a good indication of why they couldn't do their job in the first place. They also billed me for more then the Insurance company would pay.I can fight for myself, I shouldn't have to but i'm capable. How many others are not and being mistreated and bullied by this practice.Final Business Response Our claim filing system would not allow us to print a claim without the patient identification number, and in this case that would be the patients social security number. The Operations Manger was not aware of this when she told the patient it was being filed. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate that the patient took the steps needed to have the claim processed. We generally submit all claims electronically with our Payers (Insurance Companies), so manually filing a claim is not common place. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience but without the required information entered into our computer, it hinders us from filing claims on behalf of the patient.More Info Received From The ConsumerI am NOT satisfied with the resolution. I appreciate the Revdex.com addressing as much as it appears they were able to. Dental Works did not provide the basic service of filing a claim. Their explanation of not printing a form with my SSN is an extremely poor excuse. It took me less then an hour to file manually. The practice or use of a collection agency with a customer like myself under the circumstances of my case is inexcusable.

I used to visit this dentist regularly. In the four years that I had been visiting them, they went through three dentists. The most recent, Dr. [redacted] drilled too deeply when filling a cavity. I was left with pain and sensitivity. I returned and they assumed the bite was off, and attempted to fix it, but nothing changed. I have been dealing with this issue for over a year. After my last visit, the dentist tried to say that it was because I had a crack in my tooth- but they did not see it before in other photos. It conveniently showed up after the botched drilling. I believe the dentist is in error and cracked my tooth by trilling too deeply. I refuse to go back. Additionally, I filled out a release form detailing that I wanted a copy of my COMPLETE medical record to be released to a family member. Upon their arrival they only released my last set of X-Rays, even though my release form stated something else all together. I do not trust this practice and neither should anyone else.","neg-2
