I took my children to Union Eye Care to pick out Frames on Aug. 18, 2011.at the mentor, ohio location. we were told it would take a week or two for frames to be ready for us to pick up. One set was ready on time. My daughters frames had to be put on "back order". I was told that it would be a couple of more weeks. Seeing as she is away at college we thought we could wait that much longer rather then have to get a new frame picked out and wait another two weeks anyway. It is now Nov. 18, 2011. and we still have not recieved her frames! we were told that they are on back order with no scheduled "release" date. I asked to speak with the corp. headquarters. Was very rudely put on hold and left there. Called back immediately and was very rudely told the no. and hung up on. when I called the headquarters in willoughby, ohio I was told that ----- was unavailable but I could leave a voicemail. I left a voicemail in the a.m. I called back later in day and was then told he was out of the office for the day.couldn't leave a voicemail at that time because it was now full. I called back the next day and was told to leave a message. His voicemail is full. Was then told he is Out and feeling ,"under the weather". They tell me that he is my only option in resolving this manner. One person for several Union Eye care stores? I find that hard to believe. My daughter has now gone three months without her glasses because of this establishments poor business practices.I can't afford to just go somewhere else without a refund of my money. I am sure that they would be calling me and charging interest, fees etc... if I was three months past due. But the consumer is out of luck.
