I never had a problem with this office until the wife of the optometrist started working there as frame fashion consultant and finance administratorMy mother told me they tried to have her pay a $fee for someone showing her how to put the contacts in her eyes, which she declined, and none of which were covered by insuranceThe most recent experience I had with Rebecca R*** was the final strawDuring my last doctor visit he and I discussed my lens Rx and what was working for me contacts vsglassesI received my medical records some months later so that I could remember what my lens power was in order to purchase contacts in the futureI did not receive a prescription during or after my doctor appointment so I had to call in to ask for itBefore I went on vacation I called to ask to purchase additional lenses and instead they gave me a trial pack complimentary for my tripI thought that was nice, but when they ran out I went on *** to order moreI entered my doc

09/19/2014Dear Revdex.com,Like [redacted], we are upset by the current situation. Her glasses were made by the vision plan chosen by her employer, [redacted] Vision. [redacted] decided she wished to change the frame she had purchased...

more than 40 days after her purchase. Her insurance plan is very rigid and refused to make any adjustments for the frame outside of 40 days. Upon receipt of this complaint, we again contacted [redacted] Vision. They claim that they have not received any calls from [redacted] concerning this issue. Possibly if she had called or does call they can make an exception. In an attempt to satisfy [redacted] we offered to assume the majority of the costs and make her a different pair of glasses from the lab we use for noninsurance purchases. The amount we requested was $100.00 which is approximately only 20% of the usual and customary charge. This offer still stands if she is unable to persuade [redacted] Vision to help her. [redacted] Vision phone number is ###-###-####.

October 11, 2017Dear [redacted]In trying to help you with an impending vacation, am afraid that I have caused some confusion. You have for many years been wearing very sophisticated overnight molding contact lenses. Because of the molding to your eyes, your prescription will change over a period of...

time. As a courtesy to help you, I took my best guess on a prescription for the temporary soft contacts. I have not had a chance to verify whether the prescription is correct. The process of checking theprescription and assuring that a particular lens is the best one for your eyes involves one or two visits wearing the contacts. Until this is done, Rebecca is correct, I can not give you a prescription for contact lenses that have not been evaluated. If you would like to switch to soft lenses, we will be happy to fit you with them. To assure proper measurements, you should not wear your overnight molding lenses for at least 3 weeks. Since this has caused you distress, Rebecca has asked that the nominal fitting fee of $75.00 be waived.Suggest that you call and make an appointment so we can assure that you have the latest technology in lenses to give crisp, clear, comfortable vision.Sincerely,Joseph Ruskiewicz, OD MPH

Review: I went to this doctor for a eye examination and to get glasses. Which I did but the glasses were bothering me I went back two times complaining that they were too tight and leaving marks and hurting my nose, They tried to adjust the glasses two times and it did not help. I finally called them and told them I have paid $510.00 for glasses that I cannot wear. So I waited to hear back from them and they called me back saying I only had 40 days to return the glasses and there was nothing they could do. I called [redacted] Vision my eye insurance company and I said how was I to know there was only 40 days to return the glasses and she said the doctors office should have told me that, which they did not. According to [redacted] Vision the doctors office needs to make it right with me. I called them and told them that and they called me back leaving me a voice mail stating if I paid $100.00 for frames they would put the lenses in. I took my glasses I was wearing in and said you can put the lenses in these glasses, then his answer changed he said I told you $100.00 for lenses. I have the voice mail saved on my cell phone and I feel they need to live up to there word and put the lenses in the frames I have for no additional charge.Desired Settlement: I would like lenses put in my old frames for no additional charge or my money returned to me.
