Dealer has attempted to work with customer. Customer has a misconception that this issue would have fallen under a warranty. It was a pre owned vehicle, and the air conditioner would not have been covered if she came back a day or a week after she purchased the
vehicle as it is not covered underneath the limited warranty that comes with all used vehicles in NY. Customer purchased on 02/**/2016. The customer declined a service contract twice. Repair would NOT be $as that is a quote from a different shop. The quote from our team was $800. In an attempt to help the customer we offered to do the repair for 50% of that number, which is less than 31% of the first quote she received . That offer still stands and we will honor it whenever *** *** is available. Regards, *** ***

that a deposit at a car dealership is Non Refundable unless that dealer can not obtain financing at the agreed upon terms.

In NYS we can not get the exact amount DMV will charge for registration as it is based on the county you live in and the weight of the vehicle.  Some dealers charge $300-$400 per customer on every deal.  Some refund the difference and some keep the difference.  At Barton Chevrolet we...

collect a blank check made out to DMV with the dollar amount left blank.  If the customer is not comfortable writing a blank check OR does not have one we will write one of ours and get reimbursed.  When they get the registration the EXACT amount the check was for will be in the bottom right of the registration.  The attached purchased agreement signed by both the buyer and the co buyer clearly states that the registration fee was NOT included in the transaction, and that it was in fact "EXTRA."  If my team failed to disclose this properly it would not be clearly stated on this purchase agreement.
