Response:
Our office has provided general dental services to our community for over 45 years. To my knowledge we have never received a complaint via the Revdex.com, though there is always a first time for everything. I have read the complaint, and because of HIPAA laws I am reticent to comment about specifics, though I don't think the complaint is about the quality of care received. We provided relief and treatment for a patient who presented in severe pain and distress. Our financial policy is clearly stated that payment for services is expected at the time of the visit. As a courtesy. we submit for payment to third parties. In this instance, the insurance carrier paid a portion of the expected amount because the patient had exhausted her benefits with another provider(s) Her complaint relates to her contractual obligation ( annual maximum ) with her insurance company and not disclosing this, however the balance remains her responsibility
