in-network for most all local insurance plansThe insurance landscape has changed greatly in the last several years with the addition of expanded *** and *** plans as well as *** insurance plansWe must ask all patients several questions regarding what policies they are covered on before we can schedule an appointmentSome insurance companies have similar names to each of their plan products which can be very confusing not only for the patients, but for medical professionals as wellMost all practices have this very same practice in placeWe take pride in the fact we are in-network for several local ***, programs we do not and would not discriminate in anyway shape or formThere are office policies and procedures in place to be sure each patient is respected and taken care of in a courteous, professional mannerWe also expect people or patients in general to treat all people or medical professionals in the same mannerIt would be a great disservice to the patient and our office if we did not follow some protocol when a new patient callsIt is in the best interest of the patient to know before the visit if their insurance is in or out-of-network rather than be told once they arrive that their insurance will not cover the office visit.I believe this was a simple misunderstanding and a problem with communication due to the fact this person was using a speaker phone and a loud toneThis patient was offered two appointments that did not fit into her scheduleOur schedule is quite full especially with patients wanting in before the end of the yearI believe you will find that is a thing with most all practices at the end of the year Thank you for allowing me to clarify this little matter
