Re: Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted]
I’m writing this in response to the complaint that patient brought to your attention.  The patient came to my office for a physical exam.  After doing the physical exam for her, I gave her a lab order to do.  On the laborder form, we provided the lab with ICD-9 diagnosis code V70.0 for physical exam:
# ROUTINE GENERAL MEDICAL EXAMINATION AT A HEALTH CARE FACILITY (V70.0):
The patient went to the [redacted] to get her lab done.  [redacted] then billed her insurance for their labfee.  My office is an independent entity from [redacted].  Therefore, I do not any billing information from [redacted] for  this patient.  My staff called [redacted] and was  confirmed  that  they got the correct ICD-9 diagnosis code from our lab order.  The labfee was covered by her insurance, and $15 was the co-pay that she was responsible for [redacted].  We also contacted her insurance [redacted] and was told that patient has a $15 co-pay for her lab test.  The copay has nothing to do with our billing.  My office did not bill patient for that.  The diagnosis code that we provided to  [redacted] was what patient came in for.  We feel if there is a dispute about her co-pay to [redacted],  it should be resolved between the patient, [redacted] and her insurance [redacted].

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[I am not accepting this respond from them. I did go into their office to do a physical examine and get send to [redacted] to do a blood test for my routine (preventative care) and per my contract with [redacted] they will not bill me co-pay for an examine or lab work for preventive care. I contacted [redacted] and they billed base on whatever the code the doctor wrote on the lab order. They explain to me that,  they do not have any knowledge or training  about the medical billing code; therefore, whatever coding that the doctor write on the order. They billed base on that. I contacted [redacted] insurance and they told me that my doctor office billed the examine (the physical examine I done at her office)  as preventative care. However, the code they give for the laborder was not a preventive care lab code. That is why when the labbill my insurance base on that code and I end up have to pay the co-payment. [redacted] telling me that I just need to have my doctor office call them and [redacted] will walk them through to how bill it correctly. However, after so many attempt to ask them to do their job. This doctor office just refuse to call [redacted] to find out what wrong with their billing and what should they do to make it corrected for their patience.  They keep saying that I have to work with [redacted] and my insurance company to resolve it. As I tried to work with them, [redacted]. doesn't write the billing code. They billed base on the code that the doctor wrote on the Lab order. [redacted] can't chage the code as they are not the one who treating me and of course, I am a patience I don't have medical billing knowledge or the power to do anything with it. It is just simple that they billed the right code for the examine which is the right code for them to get their money. However, they wrote the wrong code for the [redacted] order which if they don't know what should be the right code. All they have to do to make it right is called [redacted] and ask about it. As [redacted] told me I just have to have my doctor re-submit or called them if they don't know what code should be for the lab.  But this doctor office refuse to call [redacted] to figure out what code would be the right code to put on the lab order. I would love to resolved it myself but only the doctor office can correct their mistake and they refuse to do so. Even with their respond I don't believe they contact [redacted]. As they don't even figure out that they did have the right code for the examine but the wrong code for the lab order. ]

[redacted]

Review: Went to this doctor office. She gave send me to go to a [redacted] to do my blood test for my preventative care which cover 100% under the benefit. They billed it wrong therefore, my insurance wasn't pay it fully. I got charge the co-pay from the lab. Calling them to resolved the problem as I called my health insurance and they said the doctor was billed incorrectly. However, they refused to correct the problem and keep saying they have nothing to do it. I have to correct it myself which I am not be able to as my health insurance provider said only the doctor can correct this billing error matter.Desired Settlement: I want them to work with my health insurance which they are contract with to resolve the problems and see what they need to do in order to correct this matter.
