Overall rudeness and unprofessionalism of the staff and dentist.
I went there when I first had to get dentures. They made the bottom ones wrong and after 2 extra trips they were remade and my car broke down and I could not go get them in the 30 day period, they would not mail them to me and when I did have a way to get them they said it was too late. I chalked that up to me not having transportation. Thinking maybe it was just a coincidence, I went back there yesterday for a complete set of dentures. When they were given to me I told the dentist the top plate was too loose. She told me I would have to get use to it and walked out. My old plate was too loose was the reason I went. I called them and their office in Kinston, NC. The staff and dentist in that office will not listen to anything I have to say. The Kinston, NC office contacted them for me and called me back. They stated that the dentist said my expectations are too high and that I did not tell her they were loose. The dentist said to tell me to bring them back for a refund. She also to their mediator that I had complained I could not eat with my old dentures which was a complete lie. I NEVER said anything like that. Therefore, trying to get them remade was not offered. I then called the office and they said I could only bring them in for a refund at 10 a.m. and that since I wrote a check that a home office would have to mail the refund. I am expected to give them the product and not get my money back immediately. (They do have the electronic check equipment in the office so the money is automatically taken from my account). The entire staff is rude and talked down to me. They will not take time to let you ask questions. My dentures were handed to me and the dentist gave me a mirror for approx 30 seconds and left. I am a very easy going person and before becoming disabled worked for doctors. In a good practice, treating patients in this manner would have meant immediate dismissal from your job period. One blonde lady in particular is extremely rude in that office and has an attitude which is unacceptable. They would not offer to adjust or remake my upper plate. I tried my old plate with the bottoms and there was no issue. They basically just want to get "rid of me" because I am not satisfied. I do not think you can do anything but it needed to be brought to your attention. They advertise great customer service, and that their services are delivered with compassion, dignity and respect. I was treated with neither of these. I am not a wealthy person and I could only afford the economy set but they should still fit. The dentist getting mad and only offering a refund puts me back in the same situation. I cannot afford to go to a good dentist and get this done. I believe all offices should treat people with respect and not make them feel bad about themselves because they had a disease which made them lose their natural teeth. Registering a formal complaint that would show on their record was the only thing I knew to do in order to ease my mind and hopefully stop someone else from the mental anguish this has caused me.
