I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
Regards,

The [redacted] family was referred to our practice for comprehensive treatment.  Mrs. [redacted], her husband [redacted], and her daughter [redacted] were seen on separate occasions.  Mrs. [redacted]’s husband, was seen on 2/18/16 for a comprehensive exam.  He was very pleasant to speak to.  A treatment plan was devised base on the clinical findings.  One of the treatment recommendations was a deep cleaning.  It had been 5-6 years since his last cleaning and the findings warranted for a deep cleaning. We reviewed the x-rays and intraoral photos with [redacted] and explained the rationale for the deep cleaning.  The dental hygienist reviewed the cleaning estimate before treatment was initiated.  When [redacted] tried to pay for the cleaning that day, the office manager recommended to wait on payment until the insurance estimate came back.  She also recommended that the remaining cleaning treatment be postponed until then.   On 2/25/16, Mrs. [redacted] and her daughter [redacted] were seen at our office for an exam and dental cleanings.  Prior to meeting Ms. [redacted], my dental assistant alerted me of her confrontational attitude.  Ms. [redacted] was very rude to the office manager and also the dental assistant because she “did not ask for x-rays”.  She was confrontational when asked a routine health history question to determine if x-rays could be taken that day.  When I got into the dental operatory, I explained to Mrs. [redacted] that without any x-rays, I would not be able to do a thorough dental examination.  I also saw her 11 year old daughter for an exam that day.  Her daughter was was referred here because of extensive decay and recommendations for extractions prior to orthodontic treatment.  I recommended that we start on one small filling so that [redacted] could get acclimated to having dental fillings done.  [redacted] did very well and since the filling was completed before Mrs. [redacted]’s cleaning was completed, Ms. [redacted] requested that we continue with another one of [redacted]’s fillings.    On my second encounter with Mrs. [redacted], she was friendly towards me, however she was again very rude towards my office manager, [redacted].  In response to Ms. [redacted]’s claim about misunderstanding our prices,  Maribeth attempted to explain the treatment estimate with Mrs. [redacted] multiple times prior to treatment and after treatment, however Mrs. [redacted] refused to listen and spoke rudely both times.  During both visits, the patient and her husband urged to pay with their flex card.  [redacted] recommended that until the insurance estimates came back, we could not charge their flex card due to strict guidelines with charging flex accounts.  During two appointment verification's over the phone, Ms. [redacted] was upset we did not post payment on her flex card.  [redacted] is a long standing employee of this office and has never encountered any problems with patients in the past.  I have enclosed notes from 3/15/16 when Mrs. [redacted] was last seen. As a healthcare provider, I have high expectations of my staff to respect and treat patients with professionalism.  Just as I have this expectation of my staff, I also expect that my patients are respectful of my staff. We are disappointed to hear that we could not meet Mrs[redacted]’s expectation and would like to resolve this matter so that she may be able to seek dental care with her provider of choice.   Sincerely,       Ma Marcie Yang D.D.S., M.S.
