I received your notification regarding a complaint made by *** *** on December 17, 2015, This letter will serve as my letter of explanation documenting the facts regarding his treatments in my office from June
15, to the presentin brief, Mr, *** *** is a year-old Caucasian male who presented to my office for initial consultation on June 15th, He complained of excessive fat of his lower abdomen and flanks as his primary concern, as well as some other facial complaints that we also discussedHe was initially interested in a non-invasive fat-removing technology called Coolsculpting, for his lower abdomen and "love handles" and he was rather trim, particular, and he wanted significant resultsI explained Coolsculpting, how it worked, how many areas he would need treated in order to see a clinically-significant results, and provided him a quote for the "four areas'I also explained that Coolsculpting would only provide a "mild" fat reductithe order of about inch circumferential fat reduction could be expected about months post-treatment of four areas_ However, due to him wanting more dramatic results, I urged him to defer the Coolsculpting altogether, and undergo surgical liposuction of the abdomen, waist, hips and flanks insteadIt was at this time that he disclosed to me that he did have a previous liposuction procedure performed in the past, so he knew what surgery entailedHe then stated that he had "no downtime now" and wanted to "try the Coolsculpting first" and consider liposuction down the roadI did offer that if he did the full Coolsculpting treatments and then wanted liposuction later, I would be happy to apply some of the monies he paid towards Coolsculpting towards a future liposuction procedure, and he seemed very pleased with this prospect Mr*** then underwent Coolsculpting procedure on June 18, but only had "areas" treated (treatments to his lower abdomen) rather than the 'four" treatments (to lower abdomen and flanks) that were recommended by me initially, and he paid a total of $1,instead of the $2,that he was quoted for four areasHe came in for a post-assessment visit on September 8, then had another follappointment to see me on September 30, to discuss his results and future plansHowever, he stated that he "could not wait any longer" and left the office without being seen by me on September 30thMr*** then went on to write me a certifiedletter dated October 5, that I received on October 7, He stated that the Coolsculpting treatment "did not work" andrequested a "simple resolve" to consist of a "refund of 50% and the additional 50% be applied to a future service"I responded to his letter immediately (see enclosed copy) on October 8, and explained that he indeed had NOT completed the full Coolsculpting treatment protocol that I had proposed, and he rather had elected himself to do only two areas instead of the four that were recommended to give a clinically-significant result, and therefore it was unfair for him to conclude simply that the treatment "did not work"As per my previous verbal agreement with him, I was willing then to apply the monies he did spend towards the Coolsculpting in the amount of $ 1,towards a future surgical liposuction procedure, and if he wished to proceed, we would be happy to send him a surgical quote for reviewHe then sent an email to my Patient Coordinator, *** on October 13th requesting the surgical quote as well as some questions about the down-time; follappointments, total fees, etc (see enclosed email copy)Thus, *** proceeded to email him the surgical quote on October 16th as well as a follemail (please see enclosed email copy) and encouraged him to call us with any questions or concernsHe never called or emailed the office after that dateOur next communication was this letter from the Revdex.com,
I truly feel we have done our very best to try and make this patient happyUnfortunately, it appears that he feels entitled to a "full refund as a simple resolve" for a treatment that he underwent, and I do not feel that this is either warranted or fairThe procedures including non-invasive versus surgical liposuction were all discussed upfront including costs, risks, benefits and alternatives of eachI gave the patient a recommended Coolsculpting treatment plan for four total areas to give him a circumferential, clinically-significant result, and he chose to complete only half of the recommended treatment protocolI still honored my verbal agreement to apply any monies that he did pay towards Coolsculpting as a "credit" towards a future surgical liposuction procedure, and we continue to honor thisPlease let me know if you have any further questions or concernsWe are happy to provide any records you may require

*** & STAFF QUITE ARTICULATE THE READINGS ONLY PROVE, $MY POINT, IT WAS WASTED MONEY SIMPLE POINT, WONDER WHY I NEVER RECEIVED RESPONCE AS TO COSTS FOR SURGICAL LIPO OR AT LEAST INVITED ME BACK IN FOR A RETRY
REGRETS TO MYSELF (THE FOOL HERE) WASTING $'S & FOR DR.Q ..WELL I'LL SEEK ANOTHER DOCTOR
