What doctor is saying in his reply that the door was open is correct, but I and the dental assistant were speaking in our native language (we both are originally from Georgia Republic) and I am not sure if anyone else understood our conversation. It was during this conversation in Georgian language the dental assistant told me: your teeth is in bad condition, because you are using illegal drugs. When doctor entered the room for my dental checkup. Dental assistant left the room. The first thing I told the doctor was: "Doctor, I never used any illegal drugs". He answered: "Okay, but if even you did, I don't care". I replied: "But I never used illegal drugs". He replied: "Okay". The Doctor was very nice in general. I hope Doctor remembers the above conversation. I wanted to bring to your attention, that on Friday, October 31st, I received $25 check patient refund from Doctor, which I paid on August 1st in his office. I made this complain not for getting money from Doctor, but as a stand of my good reputation. I believe that I have made my point by getting my money back (of $25) from Doctor. I would like to close this case and hope that the Doctor talks to his assistant again about this case. I claim that I never broke any law of United States, including use of any illegal drugs, and I deserve respect. Regards, [redacted]

On August 1st 2014 the patient in question was seen with a chief complaint of pain on the upper right. The patient was seated by my assistant named in the complaint. All of our exam rooms are open and have no doors. According to our assistant the patient and she are friends/acquaintances, and our...

assistant states that they spoke for a few moments regarding her specific issue prior to taking an x-ray of the tooth in question.After the x-ray was taken, the Doctor entered the room and performed a clinical and radiographic examination of the patient. A diagnosis was made, and the patient was given her options regarding the specific issue she presented with. All interactions were pleasant, and the patient never expressed any distress to the Doctor or staff regarding her interaction with the assistant named in the complaint.
The office received a letter from patient in question after the incident describing her side of the story. The assistant denies all accusations, and they were the only people in the room.
Our office chooses to believe our assistant; that all interactions were professional, and we believe the assistant's denial that this type of interaction ever took place.
It is our offices contention that the complainant is attempting to extort money from the office, and she will receive nothing in compensation from the practice. We also will not be refunding her money for services provided.
