We recently had Westvalley Carpet & Flooring Ltd supply and install 95 sq m of top quality carpet and underlay in our home. Everything went well until we pointed out what we believe to be a very poor seam in the hallway. Long story made short we were told there was nothing unusual about the seam, which they referred to as "Peaking", and that it would likely flatten out over the next month or so. Well it hasn't, and we have not heard back from the company to see if it "fixed it's self". They did after our initial complaint send a person out with a pair of scissors and a small roller which did nothing. I'm sure they would not have accepted this in their own home, but since it's paid for, I guess I'll never hear from them again. Too bad, I thought we had found a reputable company who would stand behind their work. By the way, we had the carpet replaced before and the seam was invisible, so the only thing we can take from that is the installation was faulty or the salesman miss measured and the installer was left to try and piece the area together best he could. Too bad the sales person/manager/measurer who we dealt with initially could not be bothered to actually come out and see what we were talking about before trying to diagnose it over the phone. Up to that point our experience was positive, now, not so much.
