Doctor Shower Door delivered the wrong type of shower. Our customer received a Framed Shower, when it should have been a "Frameless" shower door. We called Doctor Shower Door to correct the issue, because we had even prepaid for the door in full prior to delivery and they are refusing to correct the issue. They stopped the installation once we saw the wrong shower was being installed, so therefore now our customer has an unfinished project due to Doctor Shower Door not wanting to cure and resolve the problem. Their service Manager *** originally said, we could pay a $400 upcharge to get a Frameless shower, but then *** said she spoke to the owner *** and he decided to charge us full price for brand new door, which was $1400.00. Bad business practice, was told one thing and the it was overruled by ***. This has left our customer unable to take a shower, with a half finished shower project.
Dr. Shower Door has a written proposal with *** for the full framed shower door supplied. After receiving the contractors deposit for the full framed door, we ordered and fabricated the custom non-returnable materials per our proposal. During the installation the homeowner asked us to stop the install, after we already had half the enclosure up, so she could discuss the door with the contractor, Jay, as that was not the door she was expecting. The contractor is now mad because his deposit for the partially installed custom made framed shower door won't be refunded and applied towards another product.
2 months after installation of shower door the rubber stripping around the door came apart. We’ve made repeated calls to the business to ask them to repair the $10 rubber stripping. Water is leaking out of our new shower onto our new bathroom floor. I’ve been to Home Depot and was told its a custom door only the installing company can repair it. Multiple calls finish with the company telling me they will call me back with a time to come out to repair. They never call back.
We received this call Friday, October 12. I called and spoke with Mrs. Reinhart this morning to schedule this Recall. There is no fee for this service, so I am unsure about the $50 he is disputing.
We are scheduled out tomorrow afternoon, to resolve the issue.
Thank you.
