On 11/01/13, I received a "final notice" for $10.71 from this group which upset me because I had not received a bill from them. On 11/04/13, I called (XXX)XXX-XXXX and spoke with [redacted]. He informed me that I had a credit balance of $35.13. I asked him why I got a final notice if I had a credit balance. He stated that their system is not good and sends out final notices before checking on accounts. I ask him to apply $10.71 of my credit to the balance I owed and please mail me the balance of $24.42 since I would not be returning to that group. On 11/21/13, I called ((XXX)XXX-XXXX) again because I had not received my refund check. On 12/17/13, I called ((XXX)XXX-XXXX) again and spoke with [redacted] and [redacted] to find out why I had not received my refund check. Each call I was told that it would be processed and mailed. To this day, I have not received my refund. This is the worst accounting office I have ever dealt with. They send me a final notice and threat of a collection agency when I have a credit with them and then they will not refund me the balance of the credit. I would like to first say, as a physician I am very sorry this has happen to one of my patients, and had I known about this earlier I would have handled the problem more efficiently. This was a billing issue, that is handled by our billing department located in [redacted] TX, and completely out of my control.I have been advised by our accounting department that this problem has been resolved, with patient in question, cashed her refund check on 2/10/2014.Thank you very much for your patience, and concern in this situation.
