Dr Tattoff Reviews (3)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Yes, I did purchase additional treatment and have plenty of primary care doctor visits to prover my visitsI did continue to purchase and seek the treatment believing that the hives were just temporary and wouldn't go further than just hivesI continued to visit my primary for the allergic reactions until my body finally had it and cannot handle the treatment anymore, this is has had a severe reactions causing alopecia areata in which followed the routine of hivesI believe DrTattoff has some practices there that are misleading and unethical for a consumerIf someones immune system reacts in such way, shouldn't a facility offering this type of treatment be educated enough to know that "Hives" is a huge red flag and part of anowhere allergic or sensitive reaction causing the immune system to be tampered with? Shouldn'tit be in best practice to stop treatment on a patient with these huge red flags? Very unethical, sure I'm not the first or last to report these unethical crooks! This isn't my profession, I just trusted that my health would be considered and my time and money would be valued Regards, [redacted] ***

To whom it may concern: Per documented records, the patient contacted the clinic on 5/3/14, one week after her first session, with concerns related to “itchy red bumps over the tattoo area" with no mention of being covered “from head to toe" from either the patient herself nor objective
documentation in the medical chartItching and hives are a typical side effect of laser tattoo removal, as outlined in the consent forms as well as the aftercare sheet the patient both signed and received a copy of The Registered Nurse who spoke with the patient regarding her complaints provided the patient with proper aftercare instructions related to itching and hivesA follow up call three days later, 5/6/documents that patient said she was doing “fine"The patient only mentions itching and hives one other time on 1219/14, and then not again until 7/20/during her request to be refunded.Regarding the patient's claim that she was emailed by a sales person who continued to sell her a packageThe patient's Initial Assessment documentation on 3/5/shows that she presented requesting removal of her entire lower back tattooThe patient purchased just half of the quoted number of sessions needed for removal and opted to only remove half of the tattoo as well, likely due to high overall costDuring the patient's final package treatment on 4/25/15, she received a complimentary laser session to the remainder of her tattoo that had not been receiving treatmentsAfter this free session the patient was offered pricing for a removal package for the remainder of her quoted sessions to laser the entire tattoo, as initially requested in The patient opted to continue her treatments despite her claims that laser was “causing" a medical conditionThe patient's decision to purchase more removal sessions was entirely her own, as she was 100% done with her package at the time and could have discontinued her treatments with no loss of funds. The patient initially begins her complaint stating she wanted a refund for itching and rash, all of which were addressed by a Registered Nurse as a commonly experience side effectThe patient was provided with a thorough explanation of possible causes for the rash, as well as solutions and prophylactic measures to use for future laser sessionsThe patient was unsatisfied with this care and chose to then present her diagnosis of Alopecia Areata as a reason to be refunded for her treatments.Laser tattoo removal is not a known cause of the autoimmune disease Alopecia Areata, nor is it a contraindication to laser treatmentsThough DrTattoff is certainly sympathetic of her condition, it is not a reason to discontinue her treatmentsIf the patient wishes to continue her treatments she can safely do soThe patient's primary Fm:*** *** To*** *** (Revdex.com) (18584962141) 16:?? 08/15/GMT-Pg 4-4care physician can suggest she discontinue laser treatments, as it is possible her overall anxiety is a triggerHowever, he or she is not in the position to dismiss her for procedure in which she is not under his or her care forGiving the patient the benefit of the doubt, DrTattoff's team of medical professionals thoroughly researched both the diagnosis (Alopecia Areata) given by her primary doctor as well as the topical PRN medication (clobetasol) the patient used as directed for itchingIt was concluded that she is in no danger should she continue her laser tattoo removal sessions.DrTattoff will provide a refund only for those patients who have an absolute contraindication to laser treatmentsOur forms mention our No Refund Policy multiple times, all of which the patient initialed and signed several times stating she was fully aware and understoodSince laser tattoo removal is a voluntary procedure, the patient does have the right to discontinue her treatments at any timeThe patient was provided with a variety of options regarding what to do with her remaining package; transfer credits to a new service, sell the remaining balance for cash, gift it to a friend.DrTattoff sincerely wishes this patient the best and would happily continue to treat her should she choose to do SO.Thanks!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Yes, I did purchase additional treatment and have plenty of primary care doctor visits to prover my visits. I did continue to purchase and seek the treatment believing that the hives were just temporary and wouldn't go further than just hives.. I continued to visit my primary for the allergic reactions until my body finally had it and cannot handle  the treatment anymore, this is has had a severe reactions causing alopecia areata in which followed the routine of hives. I believe Dr. Tattoff has some practices there that are misleading and unethical for a consumer. If someones immune system reacts in such way, shouldn't a facility offering this type of treatment be educated enough to know that "Hives" is a huge red flag and part of anowhere allergic or sensitive reaction causing the immune system to be tampered with? Shouldn'tit be in best practice to stop treatment on a patient with these huge red flags? Very unethical,  sure I'm not the first or last to report these unethical  crooks!
