Dr. Zara Bartley-Hernandez DDS & Assoc PA

My complaint involves both a service issue and billing. My service issue is that this dentist office hardly ever keeps scheduled appointments. I started a treatment plan in May of 2013. I went through my x-rays and fittings for invisaligns/braces. I paid a total of $1474 out of my pocket and a total of $3118.20 with [redacted] which I am still currently making payments on and have a current balance of $2297. Before I started my treatment, my insurance was researched and I was told what portion that I would have to pay to the dentist, which I paid. After five months, I was contacted and told that I owed them $500, then a few months after that I was contacted and told by the office manager that my balance now was over $2000. Through all of this I was scheduled to receive my invisaligns trays every 3 weeks, however when my appointments were scheduled every time the day before my appointment, it had to be canceled or rescheduled. I began to get frustrated because this is pushing back my process. My last appointment was February 11, 2014 and was scheduled to return on March 11th. On March 10th, I was called to reschedule for March 18th, on March 18th, I was called and said that the dentist would not be in and I would have to reschedule once again, but I didn't reschedule because she said, "well I will see if you can just come in to pick up your invisaligns tray and I will give you a call back." I have yet to hear from the dentist office, I have called and went by the office no one has picked up the phone or returned my phone calls and the office is closed when I have went by to confront them about what is going on. I am very frustrated and angry because I am a single parent and can not afford to waste money that I really didn't have to go through with this treatment, then on the other hand not be receiving service that I paid for, and $4592.20 is a lot of money for me and then the Bartley-Hernandez office says that I owe them over $2000. Please Help!!!Desired SettlementI would like a refund of my monies paid because I have researched and called other dentist and orthodontist and I would have to start my treatment over. This will be more money that I will have to pay out. Then also, I am not understanding why the Bartley-Hernandez office is saying that I owe them over $2000 more. Like I said before I am a single parent trying to make it and this is unacceptable, are they just trying to get money from me? What is going on with this dentist office? I will never..
