Review: When I purchased my home, a wet basement was withheld. The water comes seeps in through a few cracks in one wall. I'm preparing to sell my home, I knew I had to waterproof. I hired a realtor that gave me the name of Dragon Environmental. Russ, the owner came over to evaluate the basement. I showed him exactly where the water was coming in. He told me he was going to dig a trench, lay piping and connect that piping to my sump pump. I trusted my realtor and didn't look any further. Russ gave me a price of $2200, I hired him to water proof my basement. On August 2014, Russ showed up with 3 or 4 family members. At that moment I was concerned, but trusted my realtor. The sound of the jackhammer being used was deafening and the mess that was made and left was overwhelming. I didn't address it.Early February of this year, the basement was wet! I immediately contacted Russ who gave me numerous reasons it might be happening. A week later he came over to look. He saw the water was coming in through the wall. He told me he didn't waterproof my wall! I've since had 2 waterproofing companies come over along with the realtor, who gave me Russ's name. All professionals agree that you cannot waterproof a basement without digging a French drain around the perimeter of the basement. For less then Russ charged me, I've hired a real waterproofing company to do the job! Both companies pointed out that Dragon Environmental contract was not very professional. It wasn't what a true waterproofing company contract looks like. All people involved are very disappointed that anyone calling themselves a professional would tell a customer, "I didn't waterproof your walls". That's how one waterproofs! I contacted Russ numerous times. I've asked him nicely to please refund my money so I can do this right. He refuses. The realtors suggested I tell him I contacted them and they will no longer recommend him and will be sure to make known what he did to me. I have all this documented.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded. I'll be content if the company I hired was paid directly.
