Review: Dragonetti came to service my lawn for the 1st time this year at the end of March. They did not tell me when they were coming or notify me of my rates for this year, so I told the work crew I needed to find the rates before they started work in the event they had increased to more than something I was willing to pay. One of the workers gave me his cell phone to call, but no one answered the phone. So I told them I would reschedule after I found the rates. A few days later I called back and reviewed the rates over the phone. I was told they would be come back in about 2 weeks. 3 weeks passed and I called and they said they were coming the following week.I called the following week and they said the next week. This constant no show continued up through May. I constantly expressed my displeasure and asked to speak someone higher up and was denied. I told them I went through a similar wait with them last year.

Finally after again voicing my displeasure a one of the foremen contacted me and then said since there was a lot of growth after all this time they would need to give a quote to clear the area. I told him i've been calling you for weeks and you've promised to come and never did, so you not showing up when you said you would is the reason for the growth and I shouldn't be charged. He even tried to haggle me into paying for 1 month or half a month of work they never did saying we were both at fault and he was losing money for the work. Meanwhile while all this was happening, I had been sent 2 invoices for work they never did, which I would have gladly paid if they did it. Again the foreman promised to come in a week and never did and I was again sent another invoice.

Of course at this point hiring a new service would be more expensive as they have to clear all the growth Dragonetti let sit for months.Desired Settlement: I want no further contact with this business as they are dishonest. I hope other customers are weary of them.

Review: This company was contracted by NYC Parks Dept. to plant a new tree in front of my house, where the old tree had been removed about 2 years ago. Unfortunately, the city had not removed the stump of the old tree. Because it was a hazard to people walking by, I had a landscaper shave it down just to make it safe. When Dragonetti came to plant the new tree, I pointed out the stump that was still there and asked if they could remove it. I was told that no, that is my responsibility. It clearly states on the 311.gov site that the company coming to plant a new tree is required to remove the old stump if it is less than 30" in diameter (which it is). The workers from Dragonetti had NO interest in listening to me, even when I pointed out that they were leaving old roots in the way that would clearly interfere with the growth of the new tree. I called the company and was told that they did what the city asked them to do. The woman on the phone refused to admit any responsibility for the botched job. The appropriate thing that should have been done was to recognize that there was a stump in the way and for the company to mark it and contact the city to ask if they or the city should remove it, first, before planting the tree.Desired Settlement: Removal of old tree stump (as delineated in NYC.GOV rules).
