Drain & Sewer Specialist

My husband [redacted] and I, [redacted], own Drain & Sewer Specialist. We have been in business for 7 years now and have been a honest and reputable business. Unfortunately the complaint made against is completely false. We were hired by Mr. [redacted] to do some plumbing repairs at his restaurant. His...

business had been closed until the repairs were completed. Mr. [redacted] was in a hurry to open his business back up because he was losing money, and was trying to cut as much corners as possible to get his business back open and running. He was referred to us by the owner of the building whom he rents this location from. We have been doing business with the owner of the building for the past 15 + years without any issues or problems. We suggested to Mr. [redacted] to pull the required permits from the city and to sign a contract with us. He refused to sign a contract and made a verbal contract with [redacted] agreed to do the work for Mr. [redacted] because of our existing relationship with the owner of the building. Being he is a tenant of our customer, we agreed to do the repairs without a contract. [redacted] began the repairs at the restaurant at times even working over night so that Mr. [redacted] could open his business as soon as possible. We had to special order some floor sinks for this particular job, and had already spent several days and money on parts and material. [redacted] told Mr. [redacted] that we were already at $3000.00 and had to get paid for the repairs that were already completed. Mr. [redacted] agreed to write a check  for $2000.00 and said he would write another check for the remaining $1000.00 in a week. In the following days [redacted] had an emergency outside of the country. He spoke to Mr. [redacted] and made him aware that he had to leave. I also sent Mr. [redacted] an email letting him know that [redacted] had to leave the country and we would contact him back with a return date. [redacted] also told Mr. [redacted] that he would not resume repairs until he made the other payment for $1000.00 upon his return. Apparently Mr. [redacted] has had bad experiences with other contractors and started to become impatient. He made his own assumptions and came to his own conclusions that we supposedly cashed his check and just left. He started making rude phone calls, verbal threats, and harassing phone calls along with his wife. We no longer wanted to answer Mr. [redacted] calls because of the threats and cussing, and we sent an email to let him know that from that point on, all communication would be done via email, or text. We have saved all the nasty voicemails him and his wife left. We also sent a last email trying to resolve this matter in a professional way. Mr. [redacted] went as far as coming to our home, which is harassment, and we let him know we would contact the police for harassment. We do not owe Mr. [redacted] any money, he is the one that still owes $1000.00. At this point we have consulted out attorney. We are more than happy to provide the pictures of all of our work, before, after, and completed repairs, the voicemails him and his wife left, and email and text exchanges upon request. We first would like to consult our attorney before we submit any of this. Mr. [redacted] did write a check for money we worked for and materials we purchased and we have all the picture and receipts as proof. Mr. [redacted] made and handed [redacted] the check after seeing all the completed work. He is not due a refund , and we are still owed money too. It is unfortunate that he is unhappy with us. We did try to resolve this matter with him. As stated previously, we have our attorney working on this. Thank You
