On Apr. 18, 2016, Rick Greene from Rayne Water Softener Co. and I agreed on an installation of a water softener unit to be installed in my garage. A diagram was drawn. The installation and unit cost me $2802.00 which was paid by my visa car. On April 21,2016, the unit was installed. When installer arrived, he disagreed with the salesman as to where the unit should be installed as he stated that there was a simpler way from the water spigot thru the block wall to the backyard. I told him I preferred it to be in the garage but he insisted on his plan. No reason has ever been given why the unit could not be installed in the garage. After the installation, I was given papers that stated that the unit should not be in the sun. Parts of the unit were melting. Dates for delivering the salt was given to me and on May 13, 2016, the salt route man did not show up so no salt was added. My wife called the company due to us having brown water and requested a tech to come to our house to fix the issue It was also agreed we would need new water filters and the tech would install them for us
The tech comes to our house and only changes the water filters (of the 3) and charges my wife $for his “labor” and filter costHe then tells my wife we could have changed the filters ourselves and saved the $labor costThis would have been great information to have when we called to get our system looked at thinking it was brokenThe tech spent less than minutes in our home, did not do anything else other to tell us we had to pay him for something we could have done if given the information by the office staff when we requested the service
