I am in no way being rude or upset I am planning a surprise party along with one other person for a very special person in our livesI ordered a cake from Dream Cake on 4/8/for the party on 4/23/I was not informed about the refund policy nor was it postedOver the next few days I met with the other party planner who informed me she ordered a cakeI called dream cakes on Tuesday 4/12/2016, because they are closed on Monday to ask for a refundThe cake was not made and no effort or time was put into the cakeI was told they do not do refunds, but I could get a gift cardI do understand people have rules and policies, but I was not informed I would not be able to get my money backI have booked a building, rented linens, and tables for this event and everyone of those vendors told me upfront I have so many days to cancel before my deposit became non refundableI have the right to change my mind if I choose to

My complaint type could be many
We paid them to do a wedding cake and a grooms cake They delivered them at 8:for a 4pm wedding They had to sit out all day
The wedding cake leaned to the right and the tiers were not centered
The grooms cake was awful The fondant was not smooth, had jagged edges, the edges overlapped one another, part of the fondant was not even 'stuck' to the cake/other fondant
I have called times to try to get a resolution for this I keep being told I need to talk to the baker/decorater (***) - she's never there I have spoken to the owner, *** She was very defensive and rude and would NOT discuss it with me, just kept referring me to *** (who is now out for more weeks) and then *** hung up the phone in my face I called back and they let it ring and then disconnected the phone
We paid right at $for these cakes AND the extra for delivery and now they have their money, they don't want to give us any service Also, the

Extremely disappointed!! Would never recommend to anyone and won't use them againI live almost hours away, so, I explicitly explained what I wantedI showed her several pictures of what I wantedThey had the exact color in the shop, so they had several examples to use right THERE! I came back in person weeks later and spoke to the decorator myselfI reviewed every detail: I wanted a square bottom tier with a pillow on top and gold accents with the cake being mint/ sea foam greenShe assured me it could done and I scheduled to get the cake the next week (today)The cake was WRONG COLORBottom tier was WRONG SHAPE and the details were NOT GOLDSome poorly designed ribbon and roping was white and cream insteadNothing like what I described or wantedI'm devastated because I live too far to come back and the event is too soon to have another one madeI expressed my dislikes to the owners and was met with unsympathetic attitude and no compensationHorrible serviceI asked

On 8/13/I ordered my wedding cake for 12/19/I was informed on that day that I would have to pick it up on 12/19/by 11:00am (never was given an option for delivery)On the day of the wedding, the cake was picked up around 11:10am and I was informed that they were actually opened until noonI was informed by the owner when I ordered the cake and by the "part-time" employees that it would take 4-hours for the cake to thawIt was my assumption that if a cake needed to thaw, then it was frozenBy the time we got to the venue at 4:00pm, the cake seemed to have fallen apart in the back of the SUVI had to purchase another cake at the last minute from another bakeryI was not only told that I couldn't get a refund but they wouldn't make it right by even refunding the price I paid for the replacement cakeThe original cake was $and the replacement cake was $I thought that it was reasonable to meet at a compromise but to no avail I was given poor customer service a horrible attitude on the phone and a bad taste in my mouth for the place I went to for all of my special occasion cakesI would never recommend their services to anyone

When the customer came in, she pointed to the color or one of our t-shirts as the color she wanted.  We did that.  The bottom was a square, but shaped like a pillow.  Same amount of servings.  The cake was done exactly as the directions.
